• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Votes on whether the Lit C1 will work in 2014

So the Lit C1 been on the table for 4?? years in public eye.

Needed a complete rebuild of a prototype at the start of this year for a delivery this year to customers.

Do You think the new new Lit C1 will work in 2014 (even just the prototype?)

My vote is no, they have problems enough banking a plane by computer in the skies to make up for the speeds that humans cant react at to keep billion dollar pilots in the air. Chances of making a vehicle balance on those single point at angle and variable speeds on variable surfaces is an incredible set of computations and mechanical jiggery pokery and my vote to the Lit C1 being ready to "FLY" this year are 5% or NO.

Don't know..!!

may be still to early to tell. I just can't see being wrapped up in something like that. I like that I have the ability to jump off..there are a lot of concepts out there but still haven't got the reactions they need to carry on....jmo..:dontknow:

like the concept and engineering, but think I agree with gene, not anything i'd be interested in! California is the target market for a reason!

Only MX guys jump off bikes dont they? I have even seen a racer "jump" off a bike, sure slide them but then I dont think your going to be any worse off sliding in the cocoon are you? Maybe some time but i would imagione most of the time say you had an enclosed or semi-enclosed bike as preposterous as that sounds you would be better off to slide in the capsule wouldnt you?

I only say because Ive never seen anyone take the reaction time in an on road accident to jump off I think most brains go to custard when you see that all going wrong for you. The twice I have fallen on the road was bloody coolant or lubricant, one minute up, next minute on the ground so in my two cases the cocoon would be just fine for me.

Its an interesting scenario to cast on crashes but Say even with that covered over BMW scooter if you put an airbag in that and fell over then hit a car that set off the bag how much better of would a rider be if at all?

There is airbag jackets now but they havent got the buffer of an airbag. Very interesting to work through that.

Well they have improved but at 1 month to go before the end of the year they have failed to bring you a working prototype let alone delivery and are still talking about issues with cornering at 100mph etc.

This really seems to be an exercise in futility in that a lot of genuine motorcyclists arent going to give up their Helmet for a cocoon and very few motorists outside of techno-geeks and car collectors are going to want the thing. By the time kids would grow up seeing this technology and wanting it they will have better technology on the roads or above the roads!
