• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed Voodoo Exhaust on 2012 RSS

Question I installed a voodoo slip on exhaust for 2012 RSS. I was wondering should I get it tuned or am I fine to start riding with the new exhaust.

The BRP engineers have already figured out the back pressure of the OEM muffler and put certain parameters into the computer that governs that engine. .... if the new exhaust goes either above or below those settings, it isn't likely to produce power or gas mileage equal to what the engineers designed the engine for. ..... Back when the " CAT " delete appeared this was discovered to be the case .... I think " Big City Thunder " did some testing and designed a " baffle insert " to compensate for the lower back pressure the " cat delete " created. .... What the VOODOO exhaust will cause, should have been addressed by VooDoo. ...... good luck .... Mike

Ok, I'm a "DA" (and no that does not stand for district attorney). I want something sexier and quieter and bought the dual voodoo exhaust, but like I said I'm a DA..... Ordering the voodoo baffel and speakeasy baffel. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge as to whether these will actually help tone it down? If not I'll have to put them up for sale. Too old for that

Most exhausts will auto tune after a 10 minute idle once it is installed. We do mufflers and cat by pass all the time, and they work great. The sound level is a personal choice.

I've played around with cat delete and 2Bro's muffler (if you can call it that). I baffled the 2Bro's several ways and didn't (couldn't stand) any of them. Ended up with OEM muffler and cat delete with screen baffle. Best sound I think for this DA. (Dumb A$$???) LOL

Thanks for the replies. My hubby is not much of a year head and not sure if he'd be able to do the cat delete and I don't think that the dealership will do it. Once the Voodoo was installed road it down to the corner store ( 4miles to & from) and the engine check light came on scrolling "check transmission" - is this due to something being out of adjustment? Well, we're going to put the stock exhaust back on and take it to the dealership.... certainly want to figure this out before we head for the Smokey Mountains first of October. Any feedback appreciated!!!!
