• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm not sure if Fred is yet but he will be here today. I'm heading out to get tires on the RT before we start the program. I'll be posting pics and videos at some point. Here's a good one of Dan.

By this afternoon: :yes::yes::yes:

The Spyder is going to change their lives!!!!! :welcome:

Hey, guy! I am pumped, it was like a nightmare trying to fall asleep last night. Like Lamont said, I'm riding mine back cross country, I figure what better way to get to know something than an epic road trip. I haven't decided on a route yet but once I do I'll jump back on here and post and maybe get to meet up with some of you along the way.

I won't be posting as many pics and videos in real time on this trip but I'll put together everything when I get back.

Lamont, see you in a couple of hours! Yahoo!!!!:yes:

Mickey, welcome once again and truly enjoy your ride. My husband and I rode back to MI from Los Angeles in 2009 and really got to see parts of the country in a whole new way. You will love it. Be prepared for long gas stops both to rest and mostly to answer questions. Take lots of pictures and remember to post regularly here on SpyderLovers. You are one of us now and all trips are expected so that others can live vicariously through you.

Go Mickey !!! Way to get in the saddle on day one and DRIVE it. I know you will do a great job. As for Faran, we look forward to hearing about the trips in her driveway to the mailbox on her new Spyder. :joke:

No, Mickey, get in that saddle and RIDE IT!! :roflblack: Sorry, dude, I had to do it! :D

Mickey, you will have to stop along the way to get your 600 mile service done, so don't forget to build that into the plan. It will be tough to go easy on her right out of the gate, but since you are learning about the machine anyway maybe not so much. Remember, be good to her and she'll be good to you for miles and miles to come. The first thousand will set the tone for the life of the machine.

It was great seeing Lamont this morning, wish I could have stuck around and met Mickey and Faran. Came back later
in the day to check on the repair status of my bike and they said I had just missed you all. I bet you had a great ride
even in such beautiful weather. I heard there were a dozen of you on Spyders :2thumbs:

I saw Mickey's spyder on Facebook. I was so glad to see they gave him the BRP comfort seat. That will make that cross country trip back to Ohio so much nicer. Can't wait to hear their first impressions of their rides.

Just got back from the first day and my first impressions are that I'm likely to spend most of my time away from the Spyder THINKING about the Spyder.

I'll start up a new thread about the experience, but let me say, half a day in and I'm hooked!

Best part of the day: the ryde
Second best part: meeting Lamont and the other ambassadors. He's as cool in person as he is in the pictures.
