• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Video about Handling of 2013 Models

I found this short video by BRP explaining some of the suspension changes and how it affects handling on all the 2013 models. I don't believe I've seen it posted on SL before so if it was, sorry for the duplication!

When it's time for me to upgrade (2016), the Spyder is gonna be waaaay better than it is now.

Thanks for posting this Faran. I can tell you that this is not just media hype and as soon as you get a chance to put the 2013 through it's paces I'm sure you'll agree. The thing handles like a dream stock now. :doorag:

Wait, I'm confused... ALL the 2013 models got the new suspension changes? I thought it was just the ST. :dontknow:

Lamont,
Question: With the frame changes; did they also move the battery forward into the area behind the Frunk on the RTs?
Thanks!

What an awesome riding improvement! The video and camera shot at .46 seconds is stellar:clap:
would love to see a side by side comparison of my current set up and what is going on vs new set up. The ride will probably tell the story, I am afraid to test ride as I will want to buy:D

Again at the .57 second spot of the video they show ride improvement again. And here I thought it couldn't get any better.

Just when I got my RT farkle'd just the way I wanted it. Decisions, decisions?:gaah::banghead:

Poor Ticket Bait. Doolittle would be so appreciative with a smoother ryde.

Dealer sales people not up to speed.

Thanks Lamont! :2thumbs:

I was pretty sure that's the way I remembered it, but the one BRP rep that I spoke with was "unaware" of the battery's journey to the front of the bike...

When I was looking at the 2013 ST at the dealer, I commented about the battery moving to the front. The salesman told I was wrong then consulted with two others and they all agreed I was wrong. We lifted the seat and I pointed out the positive jumper post was gone and one of them mentioned it was a prototype, that why it was not there. I let it drop at that point. The salesman also told me the ST Limited came standard with a backrest. I told him I did not think he was correct. He got out the 2013 brochure and realized his mistake. So the dealer staff are not fully up to speed on all the changes and that is understandable.

Thanks for the Video!! I,ll just have to be Happy with the 2 In the Garage for now?
Not too hard to take!!!:roflblack:
