Wow, I get quite a kick out of this thread.

I don't mean to offend anyone but this is hilarious.

If you want to feel vibrations just jump on my KLR650 thumper. It will make you appreciate the smoothness of the Spyder.

My 65 Triumph Bonneville is no slouch in that department, either. As long as nothing important falls off, you are doing well.

Every 500 miles or so I put in new set of spark plugs, this makes a drastic change in engine vibration, I,ve done some home work and am trying a #8 NGK plug, instead of the factory #9. (Going down a number with NGK's is a increase in heat range). I will make short trips and inspect the color of the plug. My goal is to eliminate the black soot caused by unburnt fuel. I also found a replacement K&N air filter I'm trying. P/N 332006. I'll keep you informed of its progress and performance.

You should not have any soot on your plug. I have pulled mine several times before and after Kens Airbox setup and Fuel Pressure Modifier and it is always clean. So clean they almost look new. Even when I richen the mixture the plugs are still nice and clean. I would like to try irridium plugs though as they always made my ATV's idle smoother for some reason.

Make sure the wheel weights are still there,there a peel and stick setup.Noticed a vibration in my spyder first time out and mentioned it to the dealer,weights were missing on one rim.Had both front wheels rebalanced and things were better.The wheel with the weight still on it was off a little as well.Any one tried filling their bars with spray foam?

In reference to the tires... You might get the product " Ride-On " not only serves as a puncture seal but also some balance...

I rode an SE last weekend on a demo ride and the vibration was much less than I thought it would be. Vtwins are going to vibrate a little. Of course I also once had a pre commando Norton! Always needed someone to ride behind me to pick up what fell off.
Will be getting Spyder very soon.

I did notice my vibration was quite a bit less after the first 800 or so miles.
Really felt it when it was brand new.
