• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a vibration in the in the front of the bike. It is definitely in the right side of the grips when I pick up spead. Checked for rocks, air in tires is good. Checked belt. Not sure what else to look for. Any suggestions?

Check lug nuts. Also, Grab tires at 9 & 3 position, rock tire left and right, do same to other side, compare. Grab tire at top, rock back and forth, do same to other to other side and compare. You can also jack the bike front off the ground and grab tire top and bottom to check for any unusual movement.

All good advice. You may also have an out of balance wheel & tire. They come static balanced and need to be balanced dynamically.

Armyred3, .....What makes you think we all know what year and type of Spyder you have and how long you have been riding it. Or do you think it doesn't /shouldn't make a difference ????............................................Sorry for the sarcasm.........Mike

sorry you got slammed amy

there's alot of crusty old men around here that type before they think. don't let it stop you from asking questions. many of us DOthink before we post, and try to help. welcome to the site. others have given you good advice. sounds like a balance problem, maybe a lumpy tire.

Doesn't matter what bike or year it is, as they have common problems. There were some bad tires out there that have been replaced under warranty. Have them checked. In the meantime, you can switch sides after you check the front end. Those are uni-directional tires (only one way, look for the arrow on the tire) and I would only have them on there for a short time to see if the vibration travels to the other side. That should narrow it down.

First thing I learned here is that you will have to overlook some of the garbage comments on here. There are many good people on here. Don't let anyone discourage you.

Vibrations..!!

come from many places for many reasons. You have narrowed it down a bunch. Steps above will help find bearing problems front end issues but start with the basic. Tire pressure should be the same on both sides. Have the wheels (spin) balanced if possible. Alignments are helping with many such problems. Good luck it should be a simple fix...

I had the same on my 2012 LTD since day one. Tried rotating tire. balancing, tire beads [helped some]. wheel alignment. then after getting tired of it after 20,000 miles I changed out the tires [installed car tires] the problem totally gone and handling and ride is great. Last resort get rid of the Kenda tires.
