There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. vibration at 70

I have heavy vibration at 70 mph like engine or drive train. the tech tells me it is normally with the spyder. I don't believe it. Its like the drive train or engine is about to blow a piston.
Any ideas from anyone or does anyone have the same problem?

Welcome to spyderlovers! Same thing with my 2017 RT limited. I put up with it for the longest time especially when my wife rides with me. Last week I decided to adjust the belt tension. I tested the belt flex and loosened it a very little bit. Ran it and the vibration dropped to 68mph. Then tightened it like some others recommended and it raised to 72mph. I installed a belt tensioner from Lamonster with the XL roller and its gone immediately. I didn’t even tell my wife and she noticed it without being told. It takes 20-30 minutes to do total from ripping off the plastic, installing the 2 bolts, and putting the plastic back on. The bearing may be a wearable item but I have no problem replacing it every other oil change. I took it off ECO and man o man you could really notice the difference. My spyder is so smooth riding all the way to 90mph. I really ripped on it to see if I could find any vibration and it is gone. I would never need 90 but was curious and no vibration.

Likely belt vibration as mentioned. A good tech can adjust your belt to make it stop, to a point. There are factors of course that cause the vibration at given speeds under certain loads, but pretty much every Spyder does it at some point. It's a matter of what you're willing to live with. There is a never ending debate on how tight the belt should be, because of a fine line between drive damage, and vibration. You can choose to run the tension at a lower than recommended tension, and then add a vibration dampener, like many have done, myself included. Even with the tensioner, I still get a lower degree of vibration at a pretty precise speed. I just speed up or slow down a couple MPH's

I also just put a Lamonster tensioner on & discovered the tensioner helped allot! Stick your head down there sometime and look at that drive belt length. It's about 3 feet long on top and bottom! Holy crap! no wonder there can be belt-flapping with that distance....IMO.

Try to have your belt adjusted before you decide to jump to the tensioner, my take is keep it simple, less to worry about! But if you do put one on, remember you have to check the bearings in that wheel like you check your oil, give it a spin by hand to make shore it's not getting dry and blow a belt!! My 2 cents on that!!!

Tires , tires , tires
Just put the new Kanines on all around and vibrations are basically gone .
And yes originals were oems and balanced .
And yes Baja ron sway bar ,centronics wheel balancers ,stage 4 elkas ,upgraded tensioner were all
installed each helped a little bit but tires were the biggest improvement .
At 70 b4 was a pita to ride on hwy
now a 100 is a breeze when necessary

"vibration at 70"

I'm only 69... I'll have to wait a few months to see if I get a vibration at 70...:roflblack:

If I do, I don't think a belt dampener or Kanines are going to help much...

I have a lot of vibrations at 80. Unfortunately none of these are coming from the Spyder. Not too unusual to have a slight harmonic at a certain speed. This will vary and usually comes from the belt or cupping from the front tires.
