• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Veterans Day

We go to bed each night and wake up each morning in a free country because of the service and sacrifice of many. Thank you

THANK YOU VETERANS...... :2thumbs:  :ohyea:  ;)

i'd also like to say a 'thank you' to the people of the United States of America that voted this past week to bring us back from the 'slippery slope' we've been in for some time now.....

To all my brothers and sisters in arms, you have my profound gratitude for your service to our nation. Thank you for your service, for the time you were away from your loved ones, and in harm's way . . . God speed in all your future endeavors.:firstplace::thumbup:

For me,US Navy 1961-1968. Our local commie rag newspaper had a tiny bit of mention of this important day. Local TV stations are covering it pretty well.

My Dad and his two brothers served during the "Big One". My grandmother had 3 blue stars in the window. 2 (My dad and his younger brother) made it back. The oldest brother is somewhere in the South Pacific, a victim of kamikaze attack on his ship. One of my sons is Air Force vet and his 2nd oldest child just enlisted in the Air Force 6 months ago.

Some

want only what this great country has to offer. While others are willing to pay for it.

To the later. Hand salute. May your day, this day, be a memorable one.

I can't add anything to the sentiments of the other good folks, who have already spoken... :opps:

..Other than: :agree:

Old Huey pilot

:bowdown:Thank you to our veterans and those who are actively serving.

Viet Nam Vet here. I am just overwhelmed when I see the new appreciation demonstrated towards our vets. Every time I ride I know this is why we, and all of our vets, did what we did. Have a great and safe days brothers and sisters.

This morning I told my Pa thank you for his service in WWII. He said it wasn't just the armed forces that served and won, but the whole country, with people at home doing without a lot of stuff and contributing to the whole effort. I don't think we'll ever see such an effort again. Since Vietnam, the folks at home have gone on like nothing was different. We should certainly remember, though, that our lives and ways of life depend on those who are willing to put their lives on the line.

Can't add much more.
Thanks to all who served and to;

My Dad: Army Air Corps - WWII, Korea
Step-Father: US Navy - '50s
Brother-in-Law: US Marine Corps - VietNam
Brother: US Air Force - '60s
Nephews: US Air Force and US Army - Iraq and the 'Stans ; two in the US Coast Guard
Ancestors: Revolutionary Army, Union Army, Confederate Army, WWI

Joe - 1961 > 2003 US Navy, Army National Guard, US Coast Guard - Cuban Crises 'thru Desert Storm

That's kind of unique..Union and Confederate Army. I hope they never met in battle.

As I've said in the past, Veteran's Day is every day.
