Is that the same composit they used to make the hiem joints...?? Soon you will have some high mile ones to test...
Does anyone have pictures of what the proper alignment of the roller and the belt should look like? :dontknow:
Do you have any ideas how long these will last before you have to replace it?
What is the most miles anyone out there has on the BRP or Doc's tensioner?
When we go on a trip and put 5-6 thousand miles on in two weeks, I don't want to have to think about the bearings on the tensioner going out. Is that going to be a problems in anyone's experience or opinion?
Thanks
Good question, I don't know the answer but would think that if there was a failure BRP would be required to accept responsibility and make the necessary repairs, Not sure how that would work on After Market Pulleys, Anyone Know???

Ref :- if there was a failure BRP would be required to accept responsibility and make the necessary repairs,
At present this would only be for the f3 models as the BRP one was only made for those models
All those currently being fitted to RT models are using an adapter bracket made by Doc Humphreys, or other self made ones
Having fitted one myself using Doc adapter bracket I accept the risk knowing the time, effort & testing he has done with it and by him making adjustments and upgrades to it before releasing it
BRP may or may not make one specifically for thr RT
The RT has been out far longer than the f3 models yet BRP designed one for the f3 first so who knows if and when the will make one, rather than wait I went with Doc's one
There are other options for tensioners available but for me Doc's was easy to fit, once fitted it should not require any further adjustments and was at a price I could afford
I agree! I also understand that if there was a failure on a trip, it would be easy enough to take the pulley or wheel off and run without it for the rest of the trip.I like the idea that he uses two, larger bearings in his setup: This can't help but make it last longer.
