• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Very hot air blowing from Rt. hand side

I have 5000 miles, as of today.
at close to 4000, I took off the saddlebags and had oil change done. Since then, there is very hot air blowing toward my right leg (ankle to knee). Even moving my feet away from the engine I can feel the hot air is even more.
nothing on left hand side. Never felt that up to 4000 miles.
doesnt matter if outdoor temperature is 96 or 82.
Any feedback, comment, suggestion, solution, etc. greatly appreciated.

Interesting..!!

This is new one being an F3. Would seem something has changed since the oil change...who did that..??...as the exhaust system is in that area it may be the place to start checking. Are you noticing a change in sound, running...have you checked fluid levels, oil, coolant...?? If not your thing take it back to whoever did the work and let them know...then let us know..

on hot days I feel a lot of hot air blowing on the inside of my calf’s from the engine from my F3, the difference is it is escaping, on the RS it was trapped,

I truly trust the dealer and service man, but he kept saying he only changed oil.
i think I kept using the word "Heat from engine" instead of " hot air blowing". He agree to check if something is not in place at the radiator site.
Ill mention to check the exhaust from system.

You said that you took off the saddlebags...

Did you put them back on? :dontknow:
Their presence, or lack thereof; could certainly affect the airflow around the bike...

I noticed heat on the right side from my F3S when I first bought it. Some here said well that is where the engine is and it isn't covered so there will be heat from there. I reported it to the tech twice he checked it both times and said nothing is wrong in that area, and that some heat will be felt due to the uncovered engine. Here in So. Calif. it get hot, so the heat coming off the engine would be more then in a cooler climate.
Then someone asked how many bars I saw, I didn't know what he meant so he explained where to look for the bars. My bars are normal and the fan only comes on if I ride slow or in stop & go traffic. I would love to here what your tech. tells you, maybe it will help me as well.
Doesn't seem like to many F3S have these issue, or maybe because this is my first spyder I am not used to the heat they produce...
Pls. give us any info. you receive from the tech. Thanks, DJ

FWIW

I have ridden my F3-S day after day in 100°F+ weather the last month and there is absolutely no heat being tossed onto me. I have had the fans kicking on and off every 2-3 minutes in wall-to-wall traffic and no heat at all. I'm used to having heat tossed onto me from my motorcycles so this is a refreshing change.

That is what I'm used to

Last year I has STL 2014, zero heat.
my F3s for 4000 miles was blessing/no heat issue.
something went wrong during maintainer or coincidently something fell down or shifted.
thanks for sharing, this means I was not imagining for first 4000 miles ( no heat) then last 1000 miles can't stand it..
