• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got the Dec. issue of Roadrunner magazine today and at the back there is a gift guide. One of the ads there is for a new performance tire for Spyders called ARACHNID. I checked their web site and didn't find it listed but there was one called the BLACK WIDOW which looked similar to stock tires. I think they are made in Thailand. I never heard of them. Anyone here know any more about them or the tires?
Thanks

DIFFERENT TIRES

Considering how many excellent brands/choices there are out there ( other than Kenda ) ....Why would you even consider a tire probably no one has ever heard of ? ? ? ? IMHO ......Mike

Just because I've never heard of them doesn't mean no one else has. Also this is the first time I've seen an ad for a tire designed specifically for Spyders.

Vee Rubber's web site

I just checked out the Vee Rubber web site and they do have tires specifically for the :spyder2:. You can download their motor cycle catalog by first going to this link, http://veerubberusa.com/download.php and then selecting the Motorcycle catalog. they have the Black Widow tire listed on page 3 of the PDF under Trike/Radial tires.

When I was searching for tires for my pull behind trailer I found Vee tires.
Trying to find a distributor that had the ones i wanted was impossible.

They don't give much information beyond load and speed rating.

You'd think their target would be North American customers as that has to be the lions share of Spyder owners.

"STRAIGHT LINE" ??

Their website states "excellent straight line performance".
WHAT ABOUT THE TURNS??? Very little information, so I'm NOT sold.

ARACHNID TIRES

The OUTLAW boys mounted them on our own personal Spyders 2 months ago...we head to the AIME EXPO in Orlando on Wednesday October 16th for some feedback as VEE RUBBER is a vendor...we will post results after Biketoberfest...so far a nice tire..installed all 3 on mine and Norms.

FYI : mounting new tires ( even the back one ) did not effect the laser alignment at all
