• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Vanity Plates

I would love to have personalized plates...but in Texas they cost $195 for 1 year...too pricey for me.....

In Iowa, I guess we are pretty lucky. I have "TRYKE", and that is just one of many plates that I have. Our personalize plates for the first year costs $25 above the cost of the regular plate. On a new motorcycle that would be $20 plus $25 for the first year. Following years are an $5 extra per vehicle.

I love the TRAILER and 4STUFF but I don't think I would pay for vanity plates on my trailer. In Michigan I had Y Y Y on my RT but in Nevada the plates are so expensive - taxed on value I'm going with non vanity plates here.

Yeah, registration is expensive here. But vanity plates are only +$20 for normal customized plates. Different looking / different style plates are a good deal more though.

:-) Very cool !! Mine Spyder is "FYRMN2". My truck is "FYRMN"
35YRFF stands for 35 year firefighter

I went with military plates. I wanted the rank that I retired but it was not available so I rearranged it: 3CWO which is Chief Warrant Officer 3. Yes Nevada plate are expensive on matter what you drive. Price is determined by its value as determined by DMV.

vanity plate

It's been a while since we have talked about vanity plates. I am curious to know what is currently out there. May give us some new ideas.

Mine: 2010 RTS: BKWDO (Black Widow)

2009 Vulcan: TILSNO

$50.00 in Alabama. The tag holder is from Beta Designs and can be most anything you dream up.

No picture, but on our Spyder it is RYD4HM...... :lecturef_smilie:Missouri doesn't sell vanity plates for trailers, hard to believe that they would miss out on the extra money. :gaah:

now thats great... :2thumbs:... i know in NY they have to approve your plate so you dont offend anyone:banghead:, so not sure WTF would be approved:dontknow:. Some friends of mine tried a few risky ideas over the yrs, but most were shot down..

:agree: They have no sense of humor at the DMV here... :gaah:

Great plates and ideas so far.

Alaska also frowns on plates that may offend. We are the last frontier--so go figure that one.
