2008 I got SPYDR1 for my GS. 2009 I got SPYDR2 for hers.

WE NEVER KNEW THAT.... WOW... GR8 STUFF PAL.... 1 & 2..... maybe Jr. will be SPYDR3..... n 4, n 5, etc....

When I can "stomach" spending the $79 for the vanity plate (rather spend on farkles), I'm hoping that the vanity plate police will give me........I8HIM ray: :dontknow:

Update on Vanity Plate

Here in the UK we can purchase Number Plates with a range of Letters and Numbers - These have to follow a set pattern
dependant on the Year of the Motorcycle or Car as you are not allowed to show a Number Plate with a would show a vehicle
newer that its true age although you can show a plate that is older than the vehicle

On my BMW Car I have - S999 EWS - 1998 Model 3 Series Saloon

On my 1991 BMW K100LT I had J999 EWS (Now sold due to Spyder ownership)


The Ist letter J = Year 1991 or - S = 1998 - Numbers 999 = National Emergency contact number Like your 911
Chosen as I work for the Fire and Rescue Service for the County where I live
and Letters EWS - My initials

I was going to transfer the J999 EWS over to my Spyder but decided to see If I could find another one which would
be more suitable to make a statement ref Spyder Ownership as I was one of the first to have one

This is what I Chose - RT10 SPY RT = Spyder Model - 10 = Year and SPY = For Spyder

In April this year I traded the 2010 Spyder for a base Spyder SE6 2015 Model

Had the option of transferring the Number Plate to the new model, but the RT10 SPY was for the year and for the 1,000 Engine

I found the number plate RT13 SPY Was available and although this did not fit in with the year of manufacture it fitted in well with the
1330 engine so I purchased it

I had my username (XYZZY) initially but I got tired of explaining what it means, so I'll move that one to my CB1100 and put the new one (SPYD3R) on my F3-S.

there are others Bob.... but mine was the 1st....
funny story how it happened: i went to the DMV here in SoCar and asked for SPYDER... they told me that was taken... the woman asked me what a SPYDER was... i answered; "a 3 wheeled motorcycle"... and i thought, 'why not change the "E" to a "3"... and that's how life began...... :yes:

Our '14 RTS is SPYDR, My '09 GS is
SPYTR.
Both plates were taken by someone else, so I substituted a "5" for the "S".
You can't even notice the difference

I went the Latin route

All the variations of Spyder in Maryland were taken, so I went to Latin: ARANEA. The tag on my Freedom Trailer is ARAN3A, a play on the other tag.
