• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's sort of cute...
But what's the whole thing that they've got against Utah???

According to what I read on Yahoo, Utah won't allow them to sell in Utah because they only sell factory direct and they don't have any dealers. From what I understand Utah requires all vehicle sale to go through a dealer. Tesla had the same problem.

Vanderhal and Tesla have the same problem, dealer franchise laws

We manufacture in Utah and archaic dealer franchise laws restrict us from being able to sell direct to the public. Here an interview we did about it: http://libertasutah.org/interview/utah-automobile-manufacturer-prohibited-from-selling-to-utahns/ and and article: http://www.sltrib.com/home/3437829-155/ban-on-roadster-at-utah-auto.

Legislation is going through to fix it we hope, until then the only way our fellow Utah residents can get one is by moving to another state.

Dunno why, but I didn't get much joy from the website... got to see the Utah message fairly clearly, but couldn't navigate/see too much otherwise, & couldn't open anything anyway! :sour: maybe it just doesn't like working down under, or was it just getting all the messages from me upside down?!?:joke:

Regardless, by watching the vid that you so thoughtfully linked Cuznjohn, it looked to me like the Vanderhall is Front Wheel Drive? Is that the case??

Both the Vanderhall & the VW look significantly more attractive (& polished & finished too!) than the Slingshot, even if the VW does look a little like it was built... & then flattened just a tad to make it look lower & sportier! :sour:

My wife even even wanted a second look at the Vanderhall vid, & then (having seen the price) she said that it looked like it might be fun to own & drive one of them (which is a much nicer response than what she said/did when she first saw a Slingshot!) :D
