• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Valve shim at 42K

"Keep them in the garage or ride slow for a few miles"

wait a minute...
am I wrong, or are all the high mileage Spyder owners East of the Mississippi?

btw; 51.4k as of today.
Thats because you guys have to ride 2 and 3 states just to get to work. We all work from our houses til noon then go surfing. Can't ride the spyder with a surf board...or at least not yet. :ohyea:

Has any body heard of other shim's needed at less than 42k?Loose like never happens correct? When tight that is when things go bump in the night?

Tight valves cause you to lose compression, and you could eventually burn a valve. Really, really tight valves can damage a camshaft or the cam followers/ rockers (or kiss a piston or make the valves bang together under extraordinary circumstances).

Have of a complete set of 26 sizes 15 shims/size, 10 mm diameter from 1.90 to 2.525, made in Germany. Waiting with the bike in the shop more than a week for the proper shim to be shipped from BRP is history!
