• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

V45 Givi Top Box Color matching?

I was looking at some options for a top case to add to my spyder for extra storage at a reasonable price. I would like the Canam Givi V35 side cases, but I can't afford that setup at present, so the top case would work for now. I'm interested in the Givi V45 Monokey top case and rack setup with the passenger backrest pad, which they offer for the spyder. Looking at the SportTour web site they don't have a color match offered for the V45 for the red spyder. They do however, have a red offered for the Givi E52 Maxia Monokey model (Color Code R300) which looks to be a close match for the red spyder. The E52 looks like a nice top box, but I think the V45 just fits the lines of the spyder better. Does anyone know if Givi will color match panels for the spyder? I know BRP has them for the Canam Givi V35 side cases. I just wasn't sure if you could get the same color matching for the Givi top cases as well. I guess if nothing else I could go with the Gloss black which would be fine. :dontknow:

I see color panel options for the V46 case on the link you provided. Will Candy Apple Red not work??

You can always have the panel painted, any colour you like. The colour panels are not available in Australia so that is what I had to do anyway.

My company is a dealer for Givi. We also have a mil-spec paint shop in house and can match any color you may require. If interested let me know as I may be able to help.

Thanks for the update. I sent you a PM. Which top case do you have mounted in the picture that you posted? Is that the Givi MAXIA E52? It looks like a nice fit for the Spyder. Will it hold two full face helmets?

Interested in how you are going to mount whateve GIVI trunk you chose. You have the BRP Sport Rack don't you? Are you going to buy the GIVI mounting bracket/plate to the Sport Rack blank plate? Or are you mounting it permanently somehow giving up the use of the BRP backrest completely?

Actually, I don't have the BRP sport rack. You don't need it with the Monokey Givi top cases they have a mounting plate that can be added over the standard tail piece ( p/n SR770). You just have to drill four holes into the tail piece to add the mounting brackets for the plate with the use of the template provided. This plate is around $126 plus the cost of whatever monokey top box you choose. The BRP sport rack at aound $419 and the added cost of the Givi top case would actually cost more overall. I've seen this plate and givi top box setup on a spyder and it looks real nice.

Super!! Thanks. Just gathering info at this point. Mods are done for this season. Next year we begin anew!!!!!

If you look at the picture that ISCI Billy posted in his response to this thread, his spyder shows the rack and top case setup that I'm refering too. I was going to get the BRP sport rack with the backrest, but because I wanted a top case for a way to lock up helmets or for extra storage when needed. With the cost of the Givi top case/rack setup vs the cost of the BRP sport rack/backrest setup and adding a top box to the sport rack and that added cost, the Givi top case and rack is better justified for my needs. Another nice top case that I really like is, the corbin trunk with the passenger backrest pad and the built in tail light assembly in the tail piece mount. This top case looks sharp, but it is pricey! $900 to $1000 I believe. It is also stationary and not removable.
