• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Utopia rest came in yesterday and my husband installed mine after he did his. There was much more work putting it on the Vulcan, Voyager than on the Spyder RT. I had my doubts about cutting into a perfectly good seat but it worked. The finished product is awesome. They went above and beyond to make this look like it came with the bike. I'm very happy. The hardest part was lining up the screw holes between the backrest and the bottom support, because they are done blind. I will take it out today for a ride to adjust the seat. If it works as good as it looks it was well worth the money spent.:ohyea:

Thanks for the re-assurance on the install... I've got my sights on one in the Spring... A buddy of mine up in B.C. will be getting a Corbin so he'll have one waiting for me! :thumbup:

Thanks. Ugh!! We here at the Jersey Shore don't like the "Jersey Shore". They disrupt our beach and boardwalk when they are filming. I've seen them a few times on the boards. Not much to look at. They look better on television. Love the Utopia. I was looking at the Corbin seat and rest but didn't want to part with the $$. I could do many more mods if I went with the Utopia. The install went textbook. No problems except my face when my husband cut into the seat. He said my look was priceless. I want to say it took us about an hour or so. We did both bikes one after the other so I lost track of time.
Dont know if I'll be doing Cuba this year. We do Americade at Lake George, NY for the past 9 yrs. It's an awesome week. Lots of fun, food, friends, and awesome rides. Don't forget the shopping. I usually make my "wish list" from the vendors. Lots of good stuff.:f_spider:
 
Do you ever get "inland" much? I fought that "Batttle of Route 206" during rides to and from College many many years ago... We spent of lot of time in Wildwood too! (Drove back from there with 2 broken wrists after a skateboarding incident once...)

I hear a lot of good things about the Utopia. I should get one before going to Cuba. I wonder if they'll be selling and installing them at Spyderfest. That would be cool.
 
Love Wildwood. We did the Harley weekend back in Sept. Spyder dealer was there too for demo rides. Rt. 206 is quite a road. Nice ride, a good veg. & fruit stand with awesome baked goods is on 206. That's the most I see of 206.
I'll have to check out your ride at Americade. Thanks for the invite. Same group of go each year and stay together about 10 of us now. We're scattered all over the US and Canada. It's a good get together.

How long did it take to get the backrest??
 
We ordered mid October and it just arrived yesterday 11/08/11. They don't bill you until they ship your order. Also they were very helpful over the phone when ordering. They give you a guestmate of when it should ship. I ordered the upgraded Utopia backrest and it matches my Spyder RT Ltd. exactly. I had it on the road this morning and I don't know how I road this long without it. Amazingly comfortable.:thumbup:

I too ordered the one with the deluxe cover and am happy to hear how well it matches the seat. I am getting very excited and can hardly wait for it to get here! :ohyea:
