• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK, i'm back....
left my home in SoCar to ryde AMERICA's MOST SCENIC HIGHWAY: Rt. 12 in UTAH.... one word: AWESOME....
our 1st stop was the SKIP BARBER MUSEUM in Birmingham, AL... gr8 take, every biker should do it... one suggestion to them; GET A SPYDER in there.
we rode Rt. 82 west to Lovington, NM... Rt. 82 is a trip... gr8 ryding along that route. North to Farmington, NM for the nite... then to Durango, CO to have my SPYD3R serviced at THE FUN CENTER... a BIG THX to Shane for taking care of me. I had ZERO issues except for the right mirror got a little loose... West to Rt.95 in Utah... what scenery... unbelievable... stopping in Torrey, UT for the nite.... next morning we saddled up and rode Rt. 12 boths ways, a total of about 250 miles... UNBELIEVEABLE vistas... many many bikers... 9600 foot altitude @ 1 point... lots n lots of turns... dessert mountains and red-wood forest... incredible... on Rt. 12 we stopped for breakfast at DEVILS BACKBONE GRILL.... a MUST if you ever ryde this route.... at the far western end, we bought our loved ones the various trinkets to bring home....
next day we left Torrey and headed south... we rode Rt. 262, and it's like a wash-board, but fun.... then off to visit 4 CORNERS in Teec Nos Pos, AZ...
We did a total of 4804 miles, all with a smile on our faces... met many nice people during out 12 day ryde, we even met Yvonne66 @ a McDonalds along the way....
See you all @ Lamonts next month...

Sorry I missed you

I would have got back to you before you left, but I was sick for a week. We would have loved to meet up with you in Utah. We are glad you are having a great time. Godspeed and maybe next time we'll ride with you. Cheers, Larry & Patty

Sounds like a great ride and here I am so close and haven't done it!! I'll put it on my list, thanks for recommending it.

Hmmmm, when I was at the Barber Museum in January there was a Spyder there, I believe it was an '08 GS. May have been on loan. It was near the old Military Harley's.

I will be ryding Utah Route 12 on Aug. 2.

Where did you stay in Torrey? I am looking for a campground.

Where is the Devil's Backbone Grill? I want to eat there.

Utah has a lot of good roads...we did 12 and you feel like you are on top of the world....completely different....but HWY 50...the loneliest road in America....is interesting to ride
