It's a great thing that the Navy is getting a new modern aircraft carrier. But, it's a sad day when the Navy names an entire class of our top-line warships after one of the most useless, non-productive and UNELECTED presidents of the United States. I salute Ford for his service to the Navy in WWII, but he does not deserve the honor of having this ship named after him.

It's a tough call... he didn't ask for the mess that he got dropped into. :shocked:
But I do think that hedid his best to keep the Nation calm under some VERY tough circumstances. :thumbup:

funny true family story: My dad slightly resembled Ford. He was laid off and went into State Unemployment to register. Someone there asked him, "You too Mr. President?"

I wasn't named after the president. It was named to honor the F-150.
