There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Adjust the like-up time to 10:00

Adjust the end point to the Shrine Club in Buckhorn MO however----I talked to the coordinator thismorning (Brian) and he told me that they are trying to get the run to end on Fort Leanard Wood at the USO office on post, that actually would be better--We'll see but for now they are planning on the Shrine Club.. No bands going to be there but there will be food..
Let us know if you plan on make it.. Thank you to all...

Joe
PS: I am posting this at work so I have to go but more to follow once I get hom this evening.. Gotta go..

Anybody wanting to keep in touch with myself, can use the e-mail below or this website contact - goes to the same e-mail.

I'm excited about this for two reasons.

a. It does support a good cause. I was active 4.5 years and reservist for 16 years. My daughter is active Kansas National Guard and been to Iraq. And in 6 years will have her "20". The USO provides good support to troops in far-away places. A completely self-supported, non government funded organization, it provides soldiers with a place to sit down and see familiar "home" things as well as sending "U.S. entertainers and people" to war zone areas. Enough said.

b. For Spyderlovers, this is will be a great way for (at least from middle of Missouri) westward into Kansas, south into Arkansas, and possibly north into Iowa to come together for a first time. BUT EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO RIDE THAT WEEKEND TO MISSOURI, from as far away as you want, we hope you come. :2thumbs:

Heck, Lamonster thinks a 1000 mile run to Houston, Tx from Tennessee is a weekend walk!

Now, let's start seeing some ideas as to where to " Ride On" that weekend. Lake of Ozarks is still centrally located, and the backroads to the lake from USO ride would be great. Also, Xpeschon, talked about the HA HA Tonka castle ruins at the lake... it is a great place to enjoy. ON the other hand the drive south to the Scenic Riverways is nice as well. But hotels / overnight might offer less choices. Talk this up.

I'd like to do this if my Spyder is running reliably by then. I am making progress with my local dealer.

Its down the road a bit so I hope to see ya there, hopefully the the dealer will get it "where it needs to be" by then and we can "Add you to the list" brother.. The best of luck in dealing with your situation..

Keep us posted..
Joe

I think this is going to work, as for other things to do The Lake area surely would be good for drawing crowds. Springfield Mo is only about 90 miles away and Bass Pro is a popular spot to visit and then there is always Branson. We could always base the whole get together from the St Robert area and ride out from there for sight seeing and etc. It sounds like a lot of us has ties to the military so this would be a great cause.

uso

I will be there on the 13th and 14th---Thank you for putting this together.

I am a member of the Patriot Guard if your not familiar with this group please take a moment to look over their site.

If you read some of the "Letters of Appreciation" you will want to join them in showing respect for our fallen soldiers families.

Thanks to all..

PS: GaryTheBadger plans to attend if he is up and running by then..

Activity

It appears that theres not to much activity on this so we may have the number of 6, maybe 7 if GaryTheBadger's machine is up and running and he feels confortable on the trip. Would love to see and meet him. Lets see what happens in the next week or so..
Talk to ya all soon
Joe

Its running, it just turned 1000 miles last Saturday during a shake-down run to Eureka Springs, I'm just not sure yet that I trust it for a long ride. I'd say 50/50 at this point. I'll be ryding it again today.

Good to hear Gary,

By June you'll be wanting to take that ride, and the Ozarks is waiting.

As we get closer to June, the "itch" to ride will catch alot more of us. I haven't heard anything from the folks just over the line in Kansas at Spring Hill, KS.... ?? Teacherbob where are you?

Ken,
I'm trying to arrange my schedule so, I can make it. Saturdays are my busiest days in the store and June is a busy time for me.
I would realy like to meet up with everyone.

Bob

Jump started this Thread again, COOL..

Thats GREAT news Gary, I'm with the Captain---June is a bit away yet and I am hoping that you have the confedence in your spyder for this, I can offer you this, cause I would really like for you to make it--Worse case--If something happens to your spyder I WILL get you home on Sunday, I have a trailer and the truck to pull it so no worries bro.. I'm off on Monday so its no big deal.

As for Ken I'm hoping that your schedule can be adjusted in order to make this, should be fun and I am itching to get it all started..

Ride Safe

Joe

GF and I would love to attend this but a little to far in the future to commit yet. We are pretty interactive with our grandchildren and if we can escape for the ride we would sure enjoy it.

Mike

Yeah, I know what you mean spyderbitten.

Have my first grandchild (daughter) and we babysit every other weekend! Looks like it might be our weekend that week also. If it is, we will definitely have me go and bring along the "spoiled one" via car or something. ( Dang, I wish they made small helmets for 22 month old riders ):clap::clap:

And teacherbob, hope things can work out for you and (tell your friends also)

It's early, but I appreciate everyone's consideration for this. It will sure be nice to have a good bunch (nest full) of Spyders riding in this. And if we get on the post, the soldiers and families will swarm us for sure! ( That's the coolest thing about riding your Spyder!)

No new update on the final end point of the ride yet. I plan on touching base with Brian (he is the guy orginizing the whole ride) to see if they have made any head way on end point so stay tuned for that info. I hope for the sake of everyone involved they are able to pull this one out.. I can tell you this, it HAS been done in the pass because we have escorded many of TROOPS home from Iraq via Gray Hound Buses being escorded by many bikes and the waiver has always been approved for this and plus we have escorded funerals for falling soliers from the Airfield to the Chapel and from the Chapel to the funral home on many occations and ALWAYS have had the waiver approval for this so-----Hopefull the General will sign this one since it is actually HIS RIDE.. I don't see any problems but I will keep you posted.. Ride Safe.
