• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Very nice...

Looks like a great lift for spyders. like the wider foot spread...mine is not that wide but works.

Lift adapter

Will this adapter fit a Harbor Freight lift?

My HF fits my STS but it's a tight fit.
This adapter looks wider and more secure.

Cheers, David C.

Probably not ... I believe the J&S spacing is unique. Also, while this could happen to ANY hydraulic jack ... we will never use our J&S to lift either one of our bikes. The "bottle" failed on our J&S .... WITH MY HUSBANDS INDIAN ROADMASTER IN THE AIR! nojoke Very dangerous situation as the jack was resting on the stops and we could not pump it any higher in order to release the stops. :yikes: Hubby managed to jury rig another bottle in the mix and use it to lift the J&S carriage just enough to release the stops. Then it was a smooth trip back down to the floor. J&S did warranty the bottle .... but, the jack was only a couple of months old when it failed (probably the 2nd or 3rd time we had lifted the Indian). Quite simply, we don't trust it and have now gone with a lift table for the Indian and I am looking at a table that will fit the Spyder. The table is the parking spot for the Indian and, if we get one for the Spyder, that is where I would park it as well.

Again ... this could happen to ANY hydraulic system .... it's just a narrow jack vs. a full table is MUCH harder to deal with and more dangerous as you have a risk of the whole thing tipping on you (much less likely with a full table -- IMO).

All the best .... Ann

Mine also developed a tiny leak years ago and I contacted the J&S jack builder and ge sent me a VERY MUCH Improved jack for the lift for free. It is much larger also. If you still have the lift, contact them. they have great service.

I have the Powerbuilt lift, not the J&S lift, and I ordered the Spyder adapter yesterday. I'm hoping it will work.
The Powerbuilt platform is smaller and would fit under the two cross members. Has anyone tried that? I wonder if they are strong enough to support the Spyder? I'm also thinking about their dolly, if it would work with this setup.

I just called J & S and asked if their dolly would fit the CanAm adapter. They said that it would not, but they are working on
redesigning it so it would work. Said maybe a month or two.
