• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I Posted at no #19 in the thread below ref how I fitted USB power socket in my RT switch cluster see:-

http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...-12v-Power-CnC-Machines&p=1021807#post1021807

Someone asked I could post pictures of the USB as fitted - Happy to help

Note - The switch to the LHS is the on/off switch to allow me to power the USB's on or off, Matched to the OEM Switches - Once the power is on the USB sockets outer ring lights up to show the power is on, In my case it's Blue (Not sure if this will show up in the Photos - Other colour options are available)

My next question is where did you get the switch? From Can-am or is there another source? I appreciate the help alot!

Looks great! .... now the big question is, where did you happen to get the usb switch from?

It was sometime ago But I believe I got them from Mouser.inc

http://www2.mouser.com/Carling-Tech...l/Switches/Rocker-Switches/_/N-5g2q?P=1z0zlsc

You will need to look at the Carling ones they do a blank one and some with a led panel to show when active

You could also try e bay see

You many find one with a sign on to fit your purpose

I bought one of those on Ebay about 3 months ago. Just have not had time to install it.
Mine will have to go in the center hole and I will use switched 12 so the key has to be on to use it.

Bob did you install the USB outlet you were talking about here? IF so where did you run the power from?

Not yet but I have a 12V cig outlet now that I plug in a USB 12V cig adapter. That is why I have been in no hurry to install this unit.
On my 2011 I tapped into the analog gauge light power wire so it is a switched 12V.

You can also get this from one of our site sponsors, JT's Machine Shop.

On the advice of someone on this forum, I pulled power from the background light and ground wire that goes to all of the switches on the panel (I don't remember well, but I think the power is orange/black and the ground is black).

I keep my iPhone plugged in (with the display on) and sometimes power my Sena unit. Nothing gets warm and I haven't blown the fuse.

Pierre at Can Am Spyder Accessories.com has this switch also as well as a video on youtube on how to install it.
