• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

USB Port Add

I have searched this forum up and down, but it appears that there are no clear cut answers to adding a USB port to a 2009 Spyder RS. I found a really good one for the F3 where there is already a bundled connection for the customer to use. I'd like to mount mine like that one, but I doubt the same wiring applies.

Any suggestions or has anyone done this to their older base model Spyder?

Thanks!

I put my up above the cluster because I have a ram mount x grip up there too. Ran wires down to the switch power connector. That takes some digging around to find that

Depends..!

if you have no power outlet, you can remove the center panel on the left side and you will find the fuse box backside. There are two wires (orange striped I believe) not connected to anything and some have a protective rubber boot attached. These are for a power outlet keyed (will only have power with the key on). You can install the outlet in the frunk as they suggest or run it up to the dash. Pop the instrument cluster out (see manual for headlight replacement) to gain access to that area. I have the garage door opener there but good place for an outlet w/ waterproof cover...
