I am re-posting this in the hopes someone has come up with a solution....
I've had my 2020 F3 Limited since he was "born". Just about since day one, the USB in the glove box will only charge intermittently. The USB symbol may appear on the dash for the first 5 minutes of ryding, but then "USB MALFUNCTION" appears. This issue seems to happen more if the weather is above 75 degrees. Voltmeter reads over 5v consistently. Yes, I have changed cables many times, tried a data blocker - and I have plugged in different phones. Have turned my phone on and off - AND did the Hokey Pokey for good measure
The USBs in the top case are charging just fine. And of course....several local dealers and BRP are at a loss for words.
Unfortunately, the USB/AUX cables are not as easy to get to as in the 2020+ RT (simply lifting out the glove box). Has anyone who has ever operated on their dash can tell me how to access these cables to make sure the USB is actually (solidly) hooked up??
Also - I have never utilized my dash for anything. The radio sucks - I dont think the dash is designed to contain the sound properly - and I am still waiting for BRP to make nice with Apple and give us CarPlay
Any words of wisdom, friends?
