• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

USA Four Corners Tour

USA Four corners ride

Haven't yet but plan on doing that and the three flags tour within the next three years

Al in Kazoo

The Tour X one would give you chance to see a whole lot of the US, especially if you made a loop ride to each of the corners from Lebanon.

I did it on a Harley, 11,108 miles total. Wouldn't mind doing it on the Spyder. You get to see a lot of the country but only passing by.

I agree it would be fun to do and see so much of the country but I am totally uninterested in any bling or certification that I did it because I refuse to be held to a time constraint that would prevent me from seeing everything in the detail I wanted to experience.

I meant, why ride the 4 corners by someone's rules? I don't get it.

Maybe it is designed to bring discipline and the ability to follow rules to the HD crowd? If it is a test of HD cycles, my friend's failed at the first attempt, as he stated in Washington on his new HD, down to California and his motor burnt down in Texas. Dealer send motor back to factory and he flew home. The motor came back and they shipped the bike back to Seattle. The following year he complete the ride. Knucklehead HD comes to mind!

My four corners is slightly longer. Shanghai to Lisbon, down to Gibraltar then to Nordkapp. Worked out a route and all the visa requirements but that's as far as its got at the moment.

I kind of know where your coming from. I do iron butt events and I may get the badges etc for the actual event but I've never bothered registering what I've done with the iron butt association for official accreditation - I know I've done them so why do I need to do a load of paperwork to get a certificate saying I did it.

So if I did this I would do it in under 21 days as that's the target (In fact I'd probably half that). I'd enjoy all the planning and riding. But I wouldn't bother with the registering or sending receipts etc. I don't need the pin, hat certificate etc - just the memories and experiences will be fine.

A fellow Spyder ryder up here in Maine did the 48 States and iron butt and the 4 corners all in one trip back in 2018 on his 2011 RTS SM5. He told me he was glad he carried 2 extra gallons of gas. He only had to use his back up supply once. Some day I would like to do the 4 corners and all 48 States on my own time. Bruce
