• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We have a dealer way out here near Bellingham Wa. I am not sure what the draw to them is, they are antiques in my mind lol.

The folks that seem to see them; haven't been riding them.
Do we have anyone in here that has logged some time in the saddle on one of them?? :dontknow:
I'd love to hear some of the practical experiences and comparisons.

Never had the pleasure of riding a Ural, but every article I have read has been favorable. They are utilitarian but will get you from A to B. They come with an exceptionally large tool kit--for a reason. But--they are straight forward and adopt themselves to the bailing wire/duct tape type of repairs.

Rider magazine had an article about a man riding his Ural around the world a couple months back. Sorry, I don't know the monthly issue--but bet you can find the article on their website. I don't save magazines any more.
