• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Upgraded Rear Shock

I currently have a new rear shock (not stock) on one of our RT's. It is an aluminum bodied fully adjustable (compression , rebound dampening). I have about 90 miles of mostly non high way riding , so far it has made the RTS a different machine. I am going to give it a thorough thrashing this weekend and will report my findings but I think I've found an awesome replacement/upgrade. :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

I'm waiting Widowmaker! Find some twisties and wring her out, then let us know how it works.

Do you mind telling us the manufacturer?

And what is impressing you so far. :2thumbs:

Company: Progressive Suspension . Model 418 , 13 1/2 inch eye to eye length. Sold in pairs, ~ $ 500.00 for the pair. A serious upgrade versus stock. Unfortunately I have not had enough seat time to really give it a full work out. The biggest difference is the rear end feels planted and solid now, big big change. A conundrum of circumstances has caused my RT to be in the shop for the last week while my wife rides hers every day ... :cus: :roflblack:

Once I get back on the road with my RTS  I'll update you more.

** update ** My RTS had about 500 miles on it after 2 weeks of ownership and had developed numerous issues while my wifes Orbital Blue RTS with 1200 miles has had zero issues. My dealer went above and beyond and replaced my RTS today and I am breaking in my new Spyder now. Once I get a few miles on it I will put the 418 on it in preparation for our trip to the Carolinas next week. Thats a 1500 mile round trip so should have a good report when done. None of my Spyders issues were life ending but he felt it was unfair to tie it up for a couple weeks and stepped up big time. This is why I do business there. Period.

Wow! Some dealer!!! You are fortunate, indeed. The number of divots continues to mount with my RTS, with no hope of replacement. I wish I had your dealer. :congrats: I hope this one is everything your wife's has turned out to be.
