When I got mine back from the dealer it didn't feel stiffer, it felt less stiff - almost a "floaty" feeling - hard to describe.
That worries me, just thinking about it feeling floaty scares me, you might need to get it back in before riding season starts. Floaty would make me feel uncontrollable while a more stiff gives you a sense of more control.
I have to say, I was ready to be white knuckled while riding but actually I was quite relaxed, even though the steering felt really tight, it kinda felt right. Who knows if this is the way now, only time will tell when the verdict comes out. At first, my mind wondered and thought hmmm...multiple dps kept not working, maybe it really took 15 weeks for them to bypass the dps to get the code to stop showing up, probably not but all of our minds wonder when things take so long.
When the lock up happened to me, the last thing on my mind was to shut the thing off to gain control, now while riding that is one of the first things on my mind. Knowing to do that will gain control back if I feel any weirdness puts somewhat of a calm into me. I hate to say but that may be a way of life for us now, letting the kill switch be a first reflex just like when someone pulls out in front of you your foot automatically goes on the brake. Atleast until good explanations come about.
I have said now numerous times that I will continue to ride it, although I won't ride it like I "stole it". Senseable riding can be enjoyable to.
For those of us that have gotten ours back so called "fixed", it maybe rideable, I don't deny that but not fixed. May not lock up but they are either stiff or floaty or just fine. Not all the same as they should be. Can't be if the investigation hasn't ended yet, if they were fixed then when somebody brings theirs in they would do the same as was done to ours and back out the door it would go. Not that simple yet, so for the ones that have been worked on soo far, there will be an update, so our stiffness probably won't last either. I won't be in a rush to get my updates from now on. I was always the first to get them at my dealer.
