• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Update on the Lamonster BBQ

Lamonster

SpyderLovers Founder
I wanted to start a new thread just in case you quit looking at the other one. :doorag:
http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13023

I just got back from the guys doing the BBQ and here's what we are going to do.

I'm still going to pay for the BBQ but I will have a donation can out if you want to drop some coin in to help out. :doorag:
It is not required and I won't think any less of you if you don't so if you're running a little short on cash don't worry about it, it's really all about the fellowship and meeting other SpyderLovers and checking out their Spyders.:chat::spyder2:

The guys doing the BBQ will pull their trailer to my place and setup. They will be doing the serving so that will help me out. The BBQ is on me but if you want a drink and a side it will be 2 bucks from them. That will help cover their cost to setup here at the house. I will have some eats besides the BBQ too so don't worry about that.

We'll hand out tickets for the door prizes and maybe the BBQ too, not sure how that's going to work yet but I have a week to figure it out. :D

This is all first come first serve so if you get here late you may or may not have BBQ to eat or a free shirt even if you placed your order. We can't hold things and hope you show up.

I'll try and park as many of you as I can in the grass. It's on a hill but you won't fall over on the Spyder. When you pull in please go right to the lawn where the other Spyders will be parked. Try and leave room for other to get out. It wouldn't hurt to leave your key in in case we have to move it.

Other than that I think this will be a great time. We plan on eating around 5-6 pm but you're welcome to show up anytime, there will be folks here all day.

If you have any questions post them here. Looking forward to seeing you all.:2excited:

You know what's funny?

Looks to me like your Spyderlovers BBQ is going to have more going on, and better giveaways than the "official event" is going to have by far. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Just goes to show how we "Spyderlovers" stick together to support each other.

Lamonster and Magic Man -

Thanks for all your help in the Spyder community. Both of you are wonderful examples of people coming together to make things better. I am counting down the days to my first journey to TN! Based on the videos from Lamonster, I can't wait to see your part of the country.

This WILL be the best event of the year! :2thumbs:

Looking forward to meeting some of the East Coast Spyders.

Wow - I can't believe that I have been to CA and TN in the same year. The Spyder has really changed my life!

Man, I'm really looking forward to this event.:yes: Thanks so much for doing it, Lamonster and thanks also to Magic Man. Wish the Magic Man would be there. It's going to be great to meet everyone.

Lamont and Magic Man, Thanks for putting this all together. (And we can't forget Ron.)
Looking forward to meeting all of you on the 24th. :chat:

I think it is just great that we can share both events in the same week pretty much in the same area. I won't discount one for the other and look forward to spending time with everyone the whole week. Of course... Now I'll know where Lamont lives and will show up the next week with a bunch of uhm.... Merchandise to install.

Just kidding Lamont. :)

sorry

sorry i cannotmake the bbq. but wish you and magic man all the best.

I'd agree about not discounting one for the other , my husband and I are attending the Spydertalk/BRP event for 3 days this year for the first time , I'm riding my Spyder down from Albany , it will be my longest trip yet.:2excited: I think its great lamonster is throwing a barbeque that coincides with their event, allowing the groups to mingle.
I do see a fair amount of animosity thrown from this board to the other now and then , and think its pretty petty. We can't make either barbeque, as we leave back for Albany Thursday Morning ,:cus: . They both sound great but after receiving our spydertalk newsletter about the weeks activities and rides they are putting on its obvious whoever that poster is either has an axe to grind with the folks over there or isn't well informed. It looks like a very big undertaking on their part. Don't know why some see it necessary to throw comments around. We are all Spyder riders after all. :2thumbs:
