Well the guys at my dealership gave Lil Pumpkin a thorough once over!
Steering issue: DPS had been replaced previously - they now did the 2nd recall and this seems to have solved a few issues. Steering now requires less effort to engage in turns :2thumbs: and more importantly it showed no signs of being "possessed" anymore. Not one single backfire on my way home either woo-hoo. My neighbours may start speaking to me again :joke:
New battery: No other way to explain the low volt code. This is my second new battery in less than 2 years. I will take everyone's advice and keep a Battery Tender on it - not just when stored for winter. I'll also keep an eye on the alternator (whatever it's called)
Nuisance Error codes:
1. Replaced oil pressure sensor - again. This was replaced initially when I was vacationing in Florida in 2009.
2. Replaced the Evap Canister to be on safe side (to address gas smell and intermittent sputtering issues in first / second gears
I brought them a two-page list of items to look and every single one was addressed :firstplace: . Everything was covered by the warranty - service was quick and courteous - as usual!
Now, Lil Pumpkin's had her bath and been put to bed in the garage !
Life is good !
BTW Lil Pumpkin :spyder:is a 2008 - 5 speed model and if her name didn't give it away ...............you guessed it - she's custom painted in a lovely shade of orange !
