• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had it done and seems to run for efficiently. I want to hold judgement being I only have 100 miles so far.

I do still have backfiring on deceleration.
I have all new exhaust gaskets and have a Leo Vince with about 10-15k. Someone told me I need my baffle repacked on the exhaust.
Is this a possibility?

Have you had the "fix to the fix" update. Should be in the dealers by next week. No more backfiring

I hope so, I have noticed it alot lately and several people have told me that it is ok as long as it is on the decel. But that really did not sit right with me, just does not seem like it should.

If you don't have the Juicebox or another fuel system modification, sounds like you need one. If you do, you may have to change the settings.

150 miles with the new update and I still have sputtering and backfires.
I M trying to be patient but this is a bit crazy:dontknow:

Time to look for another cause. Possibilities include an update that didn't take, leaking exhaust gaskets, bad ignition or wiring, a bad purge valve, or too much exhaust system and not enough fuel system. Time for some serious troubleshooting.

Have new exhaust gaskets, they replaced the purge valve. All ran fine before the update. It sems more on deceleration and then on giving it power again. Cruising is fine.

I would look first at the exhaust manifold gaskets or the muffler connection if it is only on deceleration. There are more joints than just the Y-pipe. If it stumbles, too. You have to consider fuel system issues. Could be either too rich in one range or too lean, depending on the sound and exact symptoms. Could also be a plain old imbalance between exhaust and intake, with the wrong amount of fuel for your air flow. Could still also be poorly installed updates. Be sure the GPS and throttle body calibration was done after the updates, too.

Thanks for all your input, had the throttle body calibrated before the update and it still did it. What is GPS calibration?

Gear Position Sensor. One that is out of cal (or bad) can send screwy signals along the CANBUS and affect many things, including the fuel injection. From what I understand the TBS has to be recalibrated after the update, not before. Still wondering about your exhaust manfold gaskets, though. Others have laked.

Cool, I was told that the 2 things that could go bad before my warranty was the GPS and the brake fluid cannister. The cannister definitely is leaky and does not seal as good as the third generation I saw in the shop. I will order those next week and give the GPS a shot.

Curious how many out there had or have GPS problems?

Got the update.....and the update to the update

this mourning. Had to drive 120 miles round trip to Columbia, SC, to get it. The dealer in Augusta was a joke. Kept the :spyder2:for two weeks and never touched it. The folks at Columbia Powersports looked up my VIN, looked at what it needed, and had me in and out in three hours. That's alot better than two weeks! The only problem was they didn't know that the second update required parts (new vent hose ). Will order the hose and let me know when it shows up. I did notice when I got home that at idle, it was popping through the exhaust and was a little hard to re-start after shutting it off. I hammered it pretty hard coming back on the interstate. Running down the road, it sounded great! I wonder if the canisterectomy would do me any good?
She has been in the garage in about 100 pieces for the last two months. New paint, NMN lights and :spyder2: badges in place of the BRP badges. Sure am glad to have her back!
