• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yesterday I took my F3-S back to the dealer to have the brake and shifter moved from position 3 to position 4. They called saying the parts came in and the install could be done right away. I rode it in and the tech. completed the adjustment is less than 30 mins. the tech. also installed a ponytail connection onto my battery so I can connect the battery tender without opening the frunk.
While driving home I enjoyed the extra inches of front leg room.
Just another reason to love the F3 concept.

Anyone find a aftermarket set of luggage for the F3 Yet? $1300. is crazy for BRP saddlebags, but if there isn't anything else out there what a guy to do.....:dontknow:

the aftermarket guys are on it. The brp bags, aside from being outrageously expensive, are really small. Glad they got you set up with the extra leg room, it is a nice feature for cruisers...:thumbup:
 
Leatherlyke

I had a set of Leatherlyke saddlebags once on a Yamaha Road Star 1600. They were pretty roomy and locked with a key. Now if Leatherlyke could make some brackets to fit the F3 we might just have a winner.
 
Yeah, I think the solution is going to be someone coming up with aftermarket luggage brackets to adapt other saddlebags. When larger (and nicer) Harley (!) bags are nearly half the price as BRP's, you just know there is going to be a healthy aftermarket for F3 storage.

Heck, I used to think the old RS Corbin's were ridiculous at their $$$, but here comes BRP to make even those look like a bargain...

Of course, there are always soft bags as an option, but after four years of relying on soft bags, I'm kinda done with the hassle.

I have contacted Corbin twice on their smugglers trunk, and bags. Take a look at the system they put together for the ST model, this is what I'm waiting for on the F3S. Send them an email, that might help in getting them to fabricate sooner than later for the F3S models.

Givi or Hepco & Becker

These two outfits have been making luggage systems for motorcycles for a long time. Maybe one of them could make a rack system to fit the F3. Then you could have the saddlebags with a matching top case and have the convenience of a lockable quick detach set of luggage.

Hi Dennis,

We don't have a lot of experience dealing with the Can Am Spyder, but our saddlebags are designed to be universal. They do not include brackets, only the hardware to mount to brackets. We have our high quality detachable Best Brackets that will allow you to attach to MOST bikes' rear fender rails, those are $119.95 and can be purchased here.


In order to use our RIDE-BB bracket kit, your bike will need to have two bolts on your fender rail, no more than 9.5" center to center (you can achieve an additional 1.0" spread if you drill the bracket rail that we send). You then attach two chrome posts using the bolts to your fender rail (click here for example). Our bracket then adjusts to match the distance between the posts, and locks into place (click here for photo).

I would be surprised if Corbin doesn't make something and when they do they usually want a bike to use for the prototype. You may have to leave it at Corbin for a bit but free bags may be worth it.

When Corbin comes through, they do make some real good stuff--even if a bit pricey. I had the fairing and top trunk on both my GS and RS. I went for the BRP (GIVI) bags because of price. This time, the BRP bags were less. The Corbin bags, IMO, were much better looking.

I am guessing with the popularity of the F3, that bags, windshield/fairing, and top trunk may be a possibility. If the call goes out for a beta tester bike--I suggest you jump on it very quickly.

Mike called me as he was picking his up. He'll be on a seat (that I'll have for Daytona), a Smuggler trunk and bags.

The pigtail goes from the battery and out the right side (as you sit on the bike) where it is zip tied to the a-arm for easy access.
