Unusual display issue on my Canyon - locked & didn't show any changes; then dropped out; went blank, but then reset. Anyone else?

I was coming back from a bike night on my 2025 base Canyon when the speed indicator showed 41mph; I accelerated but the speed display remained at 41mph even though my Garmin XT2 was showing 50mph; I reduced my speed to 30mph and the speed still displayed at 41mph. The Garmin XT2 showed 30mph
The mileage shown in the display did not change, neither did my fuel range.
After 2-3 mins the display went blank (as if I had turned the key off).As I was still riding, the BRP logo came on, along with the safety screen message. I just rolled the throttle forward to clear the safety message and everything returned to normal with no other issues for the remainder of my journey.
I just wondered if anyone else had this happen to them?

Watching this one. I wonder if it updated and rebooted via wifi while you were riding? I don't know much about the new machines electronics.

For many readers, this will sound like a broken record from me, but as with all these 'odd electrical issues', the very first thing you should do on our power hungry Spyders/Rykers/Canyons, regardless of model, is to check the battery voltage!!

All of the Can Am On-Road vehicles are extremely power hungry, especially at start up, and since BRP stopped installing the better quality/fit for purpose batteries the pre-2020 machines had, weird battery and electrical issues like this have become increasingly common - usually due to the crappy factory battery or a poorly charged replacement failing &/or starting to fail! So get your battery load tested! Ideally, you should get it load tested properly, only make sure that you don't just get an 'OK' or 'Not OK' result - you need to look for an actual voltage reading that's at least about 12 volts while the battery is under full load (ignition on and while it's physically cranking the starter type load!)

If you can't get it load tested properly, you can do a rough test yourself (or get one done) just by putting a multimeter across the battery terminals and see what the voltage reads for each of the following:

1. before turning the ignition on (first thing after at least 2 hours off);
2. then once the ignition goes on;
3. then what does it read as you actually crank the starter;
4. once it starts running; and finally,
5. what it reads at operating revs above about 2000 rpm.

And then report back and tell us all 5 here.

Doug and I put the multimeter on my battery yesterday, the bike had sat for a full week after a 300+ mile ride. So in case a comparison is helpful:

Key off 13.06
Key on 12.50 with all sorts of fluctuating before it began to settle
While starting 11.4
At idle 14.3
2500 RPM 14.3
