Unfortunate news! :~(

[Questions]

:banghead:So heres the scoop, I have been looking at spyders and drooling over them ever since their announcment a few years ago. I made it a point at that time to get one and figured out what would be needed.

Long story cut shorter, I finally got my dream SE5 last tuesday. I live in Mn so it is still a little cool but I rode it the first few day in 30-40 degree wether and put almost 300 miles on her. I LOVE IT.

The sad part is that on Wed of this week I lost my job. With no funds to support the spyder I have to get rid of her. Hoping i could so I could get back the 3300 i put down on it. After talking to my dealership its not sounding to good. All he could say is that they dont have a return policy and that he would try and call me back if they could help.

So now I may be stuck with my spyder until the repo man comes. Oh what a sad day!:yikes::yikes::banghead:

I'm Sorry to Hear-------

-------how things are going for you--------I have a son-in-law who lost a job and having trouble in construction finding one. The bank that is financing his truck told him that banks and finance companies don't want a lot full of repossessed vehicles. It seems that selling your vehicle for what you owe, losing your down payment is a way out. You don't have to make payments and your credit is not affected. I hope you find a solution---I,m sure there are other answers----keep asking and looking----I hope that you find a job soon---until then, keep your spirits up.

My sincere sympathy, on both counts. On the bright side, the weather is about to break and the Spyder will be easier to sell than during a cold Minnesota winter. I wish you the best of luck.

Sorry to hear this mgryder. :sour: I'm possibly in the same boat as you jobwise. I will learn of my fate with GM this Sunday. From someone who's been looking all over the country (in one case, outside of the US) for the past month, I know jobs are hard to come by. At least I think my Spyder is safe from the repo man if it ever came to it. I'm praying for you to find a good job quickly.

Sorry to hear that bro. That's a tough spot to be in. See if the dealer will work with you so when they sell the next Spyder, they can have the new customer take your order instead. I'd be pissed if the dealer is bent on making profit and refuse to work with you. The $3,300 is basically their profit margin.

Not sure where you live or the demographics of your city, but that machine would be a good for running errands. It's time to make that lemonade. If you have a decent size downtown near by, I'll bet there's a lot of legal and professional paperwork and/or items. To be delivered between building and offices. There are small companies that take orders for all resturants and deliver. Just sayin'...lots of people taking survival jobs right now, a 15.00/hr janitor job at a school had over 700 applicants recently...until you find a new job make that spyder work for you!

Ill do what I can to either keep the spyder or get rid of it. Like everyone has said I dont want my credit to crash cause of this. Worked to damn hard to get it where its at now.

But now I got another problem, the much hated shifting problems of the SE5. GRRRR has happened to me like 7 times in the past 2 days. Maybe I can return in on defect? probably not but we shall see. Dealership doesnt seem like they are going to help me at all as far as a refund goes.

Hey im sorry to hear about your job I know its tough out there. Another option you might want to think about if your dealer dosent want to work with you is to talk to other local spyder dealers maybe they have customers looking for machines and will take it off your hands. I would still try other things to try and keep the :spydernce the warm weather hits it might be hard to find another one when things get better for you.
