• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brought "Cherry" home after the 2nd update a little bit ago. Too early to say how the performance and MPG might have improved. But what a great ride home! Victorville is roughly 30 miles from Barstow and I just putted along at about 75 listening to disco music. I looked in my mirror (all 6 of them, you have to see my bike to know what I'm talking about) and the nearest vehicle was over 1/2 mi behind me. Up ahead, same thing. Perfect! And to top it off, a full moon rising on the horizon. It just doesn't get any better than this! Kept on hearing pinging noises. Now what? At least I'm not in Limp Mode like the last time. Thought it was my chin strap flapping around. Nope, its secure. There's that noise again. What are those specks in my headlights? Doh! Stupid bugs are attacking me! Does bug repellant work on this thing? Well, at least ABBA was singing Dancing Queen. I tried dancing on the bike. She's a good partner. Ever try doing the finger pointing thing on the bike while listening to disco? Good thing it was dark. People would think I was nuts. Good thing they don't know me. I am nuts. Can we include songs on these posts? TJ...you're a geek, do something.

yes, it is . . . . . .

. . . . beautiful out there tonight. No disco music though, mostly Swing Out Sister mixed with some Rippingtons.

Not so many bugs here now, but during the Summer, I take my Spyder out a lot to feed it bugs.

Never heard of either of those groups but after checking out a few songs from each one, I could listen to the Rippingtons. Not so much for Swing Out Sister.

Any basic phot editing tool should let you resize the pics and make them fit in your posts. I definitely want to see the 6 mirrors. Not too interested in seeing the dancing though. ;)

Do pix attachments need to be reduced? I've had bad luck at that as do many others I'm sure.

IMO, it's easier to use an image hosting site like PhotoBucket. This post I made describes how to insert pictures via PhotoBucket. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5841 It's a little dated as both SpyderLovers and PhotoBucket have made software / site upgrades since the post was originally done but the basic information is still valid.

The Spyder is addicting. When I first got it a month ago I figured I,d never go over 70 MPH. Then last Sunday I,m coming down a lonely route and everyones doing 72 (Limit 65) and I see a 1/2 mile clear ahead of me and too rough terrain for the Enforcers and Bump it quickly to 90!!!!!!!!!
I have never gone 90 in any off my trucks in my life.
PS: It will be a terrific winter just going out to the garage and sitting on my Freedom Machine!!:spyder2::shemademe_smilie:

OK, that was easy enough. This pix was taken at Big Bear Lake, CA. shortly after I bought the bike. I still need to take a picture of the bike today with the extra mirrors.
