Well the unveiling will be sometime between September 11 and 13. I should be conducting demo rydes on one on the 14th, fingers crossed!
I'm guessing that it'll be the 600; with a CVT! :thumbup:My pick is ACE 900 with 90 HP and Maybe CVT to keep costs down-
I'm guessing that it'll be the 600; with a CVT!
Why not? It should still be more than capable of 75 mph.
It will probably be marketed as an urban streetfighter...
...or a bike for beginners.
Look at how Harley marketed their Street Series.

Lots of speculation but few facts on this. 600-900cc range, 60ish HP, 300 KG, no storage?
I can't see how this can be anythng other than a twist and go scooter style spyder, utilising a drive train from a can-am ATV.
My wife likes the sound of it anyway.
Well 600 might be ok on two wheels but with the added weight of the third wheel, and the slow nature of a cvt seems like it would make it too slow to safely ride on the highway. Would it be able to hit 75mph, maybe, but would it accelerate from 60-75 quickly enough to maneuver safely in the flow of traffic on the highway. Who knows?
I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
The Ace 600 snowmobiles will run just about 70 mph... and rolling resistance on a snowmobile is WAY higher than on any motorcycle. nojoke

I learned about the ACE from this article. Sounds Good with Very Easy to Maintain.

Hoping we will all have good things to say.:yes::yes:
Wish I had the room to stash my Burgman 650. Fun ride and a highway eater. Rode it to Canada and back. Comfortable (after I modified the seat) and swapped for Kurykan grips.
[SUB]We are going to have to disagree here Bob. My buddies wife rides an mxz 600ACE sport. 60, maybe 65 if you have enough room and snow conditions are perfect is all it has. That sled with fluids is about 500lbs. I just cant see that engine providing enough power to be a satisfying and safe Spyder power plant for any type of rider.
I don't think the 900 is a great engine either in terms of satisfying power (in a sled anyway) but it would be adequate for a low buck Spyder especially if its a smaller, lighter model.
Both the 600 and 900 are bullet proof power plants so that is a plus.
To be completely honest, in my opinion the most cost effective way for BRP to power a low buck Spyder is just use the 1330 and electronically de-tune it to meet a specified hp or top speed number.
I guess we will find out in a couple weeks. Fingers are crossed its a half way decent bike so I can buy one.[/SUB]
