• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Unable to post new thread - clicking on title brings up blank screen

If you can click on this title and come up with anything but a blank screen, do you have any idea what's going on? Last night and again just now, I tried to post a new thread entitled "A Spyder for when you really can't afford gas this week". It includes a photo and URL. When I submit the post, my composition window goes away like it should, but it's replaced by a blank page. When I go back to the General Discussion list, my titles are there, but clicking on them brings up a blank screen.
And now I can't make an icon from the "More" list work (was trying to add the shoulder shrug). :banghead:

 This is a bit of an ongoing problem...
It was noticed last week in the "Off-Topic" area, but seems to have spread to a lot of the areas in here.
Lamont was going to look into it when he had a chance; we just haven't heard back from him yet.
Stay tuned for further details...

:D We'll just have to re-bukld that thread, and see if we can still laugh over the jokes that haven't yet been forgotten! :roflblack:

Strange...

Saw on some other place that lamont named another admin but don't know if for this site as well...:dontknow: hope they can find the problem cause this site is not old enough to have alzhiemers...:roflblack:

I noted your thread last night and I did get the now famous "white screen." This one seems to be working. :dontknow::dontknow::dontknow:

PS: Your "retry" post has the white screen of death. :yikes:

Just tried to open your "retry" from yesterday and, just like yesterday, all I got was the white screen.

I wonder if it has something to do with the links that are in those threads? :dontknow:

:D Hmmmmmmm.......

Thanks, Bob! I'm glad it's not just me!
Send Lamont a kindly worded PM giving him the link. The more he is made aware the more likely he will realize it's getting to be a real problem. Reading between the lines in his responses to me and the blank page thread it hasn't gotten to be a high priority with him yet. No way do I want to nag him.

The thread still exists on the server. I can read it with Tapatalk on my tablet. Unfortunately there isn't a way to save an entire thread or copy it to another thread using Tapatalk.

I thought about that, too. I had both a URL and a pic. Wonder if I should try it with just one or the other. Maybe I'll try it in here instead of clogging up the thread list with repeated attempts. I'll try sending just the pic. Here goes:

Done. Will report back in here if he PMs me back.

;) That thing is cute... but it looks to be a lot of work!

I'm actually thinking of buying it; but, there out of stock. I'll google and see if there is something similar. I could take our yorkie in a chest bag.

Thanks for the post ruralgirl.

How about one of those "Take a Nap" recumbent bikes? You could set your Yorkie on your chest, and let him keep an eye on where you're going! :D
