• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Un-manned F-16

Rc Flying is fun

Yes, it's a great hobby. I Love my four quads and two helicopters...

Come fly with me? Hahaha

All I can say..!!

Keep your mtts off my spyder...I will not be an armchair driver...:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Fly in regulated RC Flying fields.

This isn't done at your local community park!! ;-) Although many of the much smaller helicopters and Multi Rotor or Quads are quite harmless, even if they are armed with HD camera gear.

We aren't even really allowed to use any small RC trucks in our public parks, but kids will do it.
But flying is a whole other game. So with a proper paid membership and pass like at ERCHA, Edmonton Radio Controlled Helicopter Association, you also get $5,000,000 in liability insurance.

Maybe just get yourself an RC boat?
In a boat, even more fun and safer for spectators, who will always gather...

They have a system in place to bring the target down in a safe area if control systems fail. The F16 is not the first RPT (remotely piloted target) I hated it when they started using my beloved Phantom for target practice. It was funny to see how many "ace" stick jockeys missed the target. This is a good use for out of service jets. It gives pilots a real live target to go against. I remember the days of "tow targets".

Worried about crashing ?

You are already well protected, just Wear your helmet... ;-)

I have many passenger jets fly over head all day, hear another one now, about every ten or fifteen minutes, all day long, several small private prop planes fly about the hood frequently, at least once or twice a day.

I am not so worried about unmanned small drones, or other private flying craft so much.

Our time will come, when it does, wave Hello!!

F15E Eagles and KC 135R tankers. I'm just shy of the take off/ landing pattern for Seymour Johnson AFB. Still get them directly over the house. But hey... that's the sound of freedom.

AK, my bad.

this idea goes back a long way, althou I had no idea they were using QF-4.
QF-102 and I think QF-106. I have no idea if these were ground or airborne control.
Even before and concurrent with these QB-17's out of Field 3, Eglin AFB during 1955 to 1959 With B-17 Airborne mother ships. They did one problem one time. They shot the mother ship down instead of the QB. As I remember all of the crew got out okay.

No problem bruiser. We are also about 10 miles from Elmendorf AFB and you can add the F-22 Raptors to the mix. The Airforce planes do not bother me though because they are flying high enough that we do not feel like a target in case of a mishap.
