Ultimate Seat for the RT

While at the Delmarva Bike Week in Ocean City, Maryland in September the factory rep told me they are coming out with a seat for the RT after the first of the year. They are making all the molds/forms for the seats now.

I am looking forward to the seat becoming available. I want to do longer rides, but the butt says stop every 90 minutes to stretch.

At Panama City Biker Rally this past weekend, thier rep at the Ultimate Seat Display said next March for RT seat intro. I need fuel shortly after 90 minutes anyway but I still want more comfort during that time..

Did they mention whether they will have a fuel door or not?

RT seat comfortable - kind of

We took our first long ride yesterday. Went from Athen, MI to Midland, MI. After about 2 hours we needed to stop for gas and to let our butts regain feeling. At the 90 minute mark it was just getting uncomfortable. After the gas stop the rest of the ride was ok. But we were ready to get off when we got to our sons house. We rode around Midland today and then headed home. Once again at the two hour mark we needed gas and a butt stop. This stop was a bit longer than yesterdays stop. When we got home it felt great to get off. Both days the ride was great but the anticipation of a more comfortable seat is great. Thanks.

Ultimate Seat?

I see they are supposed to be coming out with an Ultimate Seat for the RS this month ... and I guess from what others are reporting, for the RT in March. Nice to see more options.

I do enjoy my Corbin RT ... It'd be hard to beat.

Are their seats "adjustable" when ordered?

The Seal floorboards have really helped, but I'd love to move the backrest back about 2" and the seat up about 1"... for more legroom!

Never had an ultimate, but have had lots of Corbin and a few Russell seats - I always end up back to the Corbin, after they break in, they last a long time, and feel better all the time - but I'm a big tall person, and each of us has to choose our own products for riding comfort.

Someone needs to develop a seat demo system that can move around to all the rallies.. Without trial, most of us will stay with what we know and trust.

Russell Day-Long should be able to do that for you. Their annual group buy may still be in effect, too.

Demo- Try the seat

While at Delmarva Bike Week the Ultimate seat people had numerous seats to try including a seat on an RS. The seat was great for the RS. I can't believe the RT would be any different. I asked about the gas cap and the rep did not think they were including a flip gas cap access. I expresssed my dismay if that were the case.

Yep. That would be pretty foolish of them unless Corbin has a patent. If no patent exists then way bad call by ultimate. I looked at their RS seats at spyderfest and they felt softer than the Corbin. And the guy at the booth was great. However they are really late to release an RT seat and no fuel door is a deal breaker for me. My wife and I ride two up a lot. It is nice to be able to fuel up when she doesn't have to get off the RT. I won't give that up,,, she wouldn't let me!!!
