• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ultimate or Utopia backrest Poll

For my 14 RTS. Just cant decide which one is better. Utopia only adjusts up and down? While Ulitimate adjusts up/down and front/back?

Just a small correction, I have the Utopia and it adjust front/back but not up and down! But it is very comfortable!

I had the utopia backrest on my previous seat and now have the Ultimate. I actually preferred the utopia better on my back because of the design of it. Although on my 2011 RSS I had the corbin backrest and seat and their backrest was a bit curved and was the absolute best but the Ultimate seat is by far better for my butt.

agreed!!

I put an Ultimate seat on my new 2014 RTS and found I wasn't real fond of the Ultimate backrest and then they told me they had an adapter of mount the Utopia backrest so I gave back the Ultimate and went with the Utopia - found it much more comfortable (I have back problems and like the larger pad)

and yes, the Ultimate seat puts my a$$ in heaven....

I have had the Utopia backrest for several years and have never been disapointed with it. It has enabled me to do 700 mile days and not feel "beat-up":firstplace:

I also ordered the Utopia for my 2014. It adjusts and is about half price of the OEM backrest. Also comes upholstered to match the OEM seat and has a handy pouch attached to the back. Had one on my 2010 RT--but I could not deal with the OEM seat--so had to change it out.

I have the removable utopia and have tested the Ultimate. I prefer the Utopia, you cant adjust the height but you can adjust the front to back position. The Utopia has a larger back rest that rides higher on you back. The other thing I like about the Utopia is the back rest flexes side to side so that it is riding with your back as the road angle changes or taking curves

The Utopia does have height adjustment. Its in the bracket. It also adjusts forward and back. I have been VERY pleased with the Utopia. The comfort to the OEM look. Great product.

My only complaint about the Utopia was the "wiggle" back and forth even when tightened to the max so much that I popped the knob off. Under the knob is an allen bolt so not to worry. I solved the issues with a small piece of 3M tape I salvaged from the back of an old strip LED I had. I put it between the 2 parts and cranked the bolt tight. Solid as a rock now. I suggest you do this after you find the height you like best first, me I am a low back guy and love it more now that it is 100% solid. I rarely lean in curves now just lean back unless it is a radical curve and I might lean a little.:thumbup:If you don't try and tighten the wiggle out and break the knob :yikes: the 3M double sided tape and knob will work just as well.
