Ufit Foot Peg Position

Hey guys, new to the Spyder world and just bought the F3-S. I am about 6' and the foot peg position feels a little close at the stock location. My question is what shift and brake control arms would I need to move the pegs one position further away?

Thanks in advance!
Daniel

:D It never hurts to ask... The bike is certainly capable of pre-delivery fitment to your needs.
If they didn't do this; they should be able to do it now.
If however; they DID fit the bike to you, and you're having second thoughts... Then I think that any changes would be on your dime...

They didn't show me the fit system until the bike was already loaded on the trailer but at the time I thought the bike felt pretty comfortable. But now I realize that my legs are too close. 6'0" calls for position 4 and 6'1" calls for position 5. I am exactly 6'0" so I'm wondering if I may be even more comfortable with position 5

I think you should take it back to the dealer and have them fit it to you like they should have done before you signed the papers.

They must be taking "U-fit" literally!

:agree: They never gave you the opportunity to see what might work better.
Good Luck; please let us know how this works out.

"They must be taking "U-fit" literally! " :roflblack:

Agree..!!

Good dealer and salesman should have done this for you. One of the biggest feature on this model is it's adjustability. How do they overlook it. I would swing by and have it changed. I would imagine they have what you need in store..or should...:banghead:

Are you saying I shouldn't have to "buy" the extensions if my size is different from stock?

The u-fit changes are not part of the initial cost. I suppose some dealers could throw it in and the different rods etc... are not expensive but the handle bars and rods are on your dime normally.

Go 5 mine is perfect I'm between 6' 1" could use one more

Does you dealer have an F-3 in the showroom, that has all of the U-Fit adjustable brackets on it? that allows you to see what feels comfortable, as you move the pegs and bars to their various mounting points.
As an example: I was pretty good with the pegs and bars each in position #3, but even better, when I moved the pegs to #2.

'Stock' is what ever size fits the original retail purchaser. If you bought the bike new, yes, the parts to place the pedals and bars where you need them is part of the ufit package and included with purchase. You only need to buy different ones if you decide later to change or set the bike up for someone else.

I disagree and this is not how the F3 is advertised. Initial fitment is part of the sale and is also what was portrayed by the CanAm demo guys.

u fit

This issue was discussed quite awhile ago when people were waiting for the first
f3 arrivals people were trying to buy the Touring model there wasnt one there was the f3 and the f3s and any options you wanted to add were up to YOU the buyer.:banghead:

I was a motorcycle dealer for quite some time and can't imagine a dealer swapping out handlebars for free. Truth be told I would be very surprised if they even had all the options in stock.
