• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

U-Fit System Question

On the f3s that have the U-Fit system, do the handlebars adjust to different degrees or do you have to replace them for different adjustments???

Hi Joe,
From what I've been able to figure out:
There are several handlebar choices.
You basically pick the one, that sets the bars about where you want them to be.
Once that choice has been made: you can rotate the bars in theirs clamps a bit, to adjust the height and
Pull-back a bit finer...

Question is....

Most bars have centering holes for the command units and throttle. If you only have one hole your adjustments will change the position making it hard to reach the buttons. You can add a hole when you find the desired position. This will allow you a greater amount of adjustment.

Bob is correct, i tried it and you can adjust the bars slightly by loosening all four bolts and adjusting the bar and then retighten them in the new position. Bob, you da man.

Bob, as is usual for an erudite gent, has great insight on things like this. You didn't mange to chop any wires in two while twisting
the bars round did you Joe? :roflblack:

:yikes:, no i just moved them slightly.

Joe,

It comes standard with the #3 position (floorboards) and handlebars. As you ride it you'll be able to tell if your feet ride forward of the floorboards or if you have to stretch to keep your feet on them. Then you'll know how to adjust.

As far as the handlebars, as you ride, you'll know if you have to stretch to reach them or if it's a comfortable fit.

Adjust as necessary.

Full rotation

I rotated mine up (and forward by default;)) as far as they would go (probably about 2"), and drilled a new hole for the nipple to get the controls in the correct position. You only need to do that for the left grip as there is nothing you really need to grab by feel on the right grip while you are riding.

The wrist angle changes a little for obvious reasons, but they are still as comfortable as stock.
