There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Two wheel syndrome

So, i gather you would not trust those guys near you?
I ask so I do not get involved with the wrong dealer. If it means
going to Knoxville for the better support, then that is what I would
rather do. I don't, and I suppose most folks don't either, like dealing with
a dealer that after your check clears, they would sooner never see you again.
Thanks.

I have always been told if I have nothing good to say be quiet so all I will say is I hauled my Spyder to knoxville for repairs on the power steering when it went out at 600 miles.

Sorry to hear about your loss

Well I had a mild case of two wheel syndrome for the past month or so and while at Myrtle Beah for bike week the terrible disease run amuck. I have been looking hard at 2 wheelers for a while even though I liked the spyder I had a lot of problems. Anyone who knows me knows I have terrible luck. Example is 2 rocks in 2 belts in a month. After checking with other Spyder owners I found that the overwelming engine vibration and dangerous shimming in the bars at 60mph ws not normal. I just ended up with a bad one or maybee wanting 2 wheels magnified my little problems . Either way in a casual conversation with a Big Dog dealer while in Myrtle beach I ended up trading the Spyder for a 2008 Yamaha Raider 1900. SO far I love it. Miss the storage and secure feeling of the spyder but do not regret the desision so far.

The biggest prolem with the trade is there is no other sites out there like this one. I have looked forever and not found anything even close. I am going to miss the Spyder owners more than the Spyder.

cisaacs,

Sorry to hear about all the trouble you had with the :spyder:. My wife bought a Mercedes E350 a few years back. It never performed the way a vehicle of its class should have. There was always something wrong with it that kept me in the dealer's service department:mad::cus::banghead::cus::mad:. So I came to realize that no matter who makes it, there is always the chance that one might end up with a LEMON:yikes:. There should be some kind of LEMON LAW that covers Spyders. I am yet to buy mine and despite all of the negatives I've heard so far, I still plan to continue with my purchase plan for '09. I appreciated all the info you provided:cheers:. I don't have a lot of gravel where I live, but your rock/belt issue still gave me pause:hun:. The steering/power steering issue is Crucial:yikes::yikes::yikes:. I can only  that can-am will have those and some of the other issues worked out before I make my purchase.
I do hope that all works out for the best with your ride(s).

Take care,

My mom used to tell me that as well, but it really does help members here if you share the positive stories of super-customer-oriented dealerships.

I've used private messaging here to update folks who wanted more info on "off the record" details of dealership snafus, insurance agency issues, registry of motor vehicles concerns, etc.

Yet another reason I love this messageboard, if I haven't mentioned it lately.

Too Cool

Yep, you can restore a tricycle, but you can't help the rider.

That is just Too Cool. It makes me realize that I don't have much of a photographic record of my existence. I have always been the one behind the camera. Just wait till I get my Spyder...It's time for my "close-up";).

Thanks Scotty,

"Nuff said.
Thanks:coffee:

Don't let my problems detour anyone from a Spyder. I did love it but just came to the final descision that I wanted 2 wheels more right now. I am sure my problems could of been easily resolved. I am extremely happy with my new bike and will miss the spyder. When it comes to trips the spyder was much more relaxing ride, not worried about road debri and such. I am sure I will end up with another one in a year or two as sson as I get the 2 wheel thing out of my blood.
