• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have developed a squeak coming from the front end...Only here it over bumps...can't tell where it is coming from...tried to shake her side to side at a stop and nothing.........
And, how does the anti-theft system work? I see nothing in the owners manual...

Couls your squeak be a wheel bearing? :2thumbs:
The Anti-Theft system is actually built into the key and ignition switch...
(You might find a reference to the D.E.S.S.in your manual...)
The key is "Chipped"; and the info on that chip is read by the system, each time the bike is switched on...

So does "chipped" just mean that if someone just can't copy the key and start the bike?
And I hope the squeak isn't coming from the bearings...only have 550 miles on the machine..

The key can not be copied without the required info pertaining to the particular bike. The whole purpose of the micro chip in the key. A plain blank will do nothing except open the trunk maybe. I don't think you have a wheel bearing problem but without being there to hear it ?

MY brakes do squeal now and then. But, the squeak I hear is when I go over bumps. I will run it up to the dealer on fri and have them look at it...

If you're only hearing while going over bumps, it might be your suspension. Make sure the dealer takes it for a ride to hear and feel it for himself. If he says he fixed it, ask him what it was just to make sure he really found it and "fixed" it. :lecturef_smilie:

Windshield... there's about six pivot points up there. Try taking it by the corner, and giving it a wiggle.
Mine has never squeaked; but it has rattled on some bone-jarring stretched of road.
Suspension?
Stand on one peg (Or 'Board...), and give it s good "test"
Then; repeat the process on the other side.
That'll make the suspension sit up and take notice... :D
Happyhunting!

My 2014 has a brake squeak when I back up... but I only have 162 miles on it ... but next week we are riding from So Louisiana to Deals Gap..

I took her to the dealer to have them check it out...He said it is the suspension. But not to worry..Said sometimes this happens and that it won't cause any problems. SO I will keep and eye on it and if it gets worse I will take it back and ask to ride the owners spyder to see if that one squeaks...
