• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Two more happy Hindle riders

dltang and I picked up our Hindles this morning and came back home and put them on. It was a very easy install and I had them put on both bikes within 45 minutes. The hardest part was getting that spring put back on the Hindle. I tried doing all the work from the right side and removing the stock tailpipe was easy and sticking the Hindle on from there was just fine but putting that spring on was a real bugger from the right. I found it was much easier when I switched over to the left side and it was more accessible and the angle was better for me. I popped the spring on in seconds from the left.

After the 1/2 hour seasoning of the pipe, we took a nice little 2 hour ride. The pipes sounded awesome! And I believe the Rotax likes them too. The engine ran smoother than it ever has and felt a bit peppier also. I am curious to see what the MPG is on my next fill as it seemed as if the gas gauge was moving slower too. So far, its the best and most noticeable mod that I've done to the Spyder.

Nice report. I am becoming more and more convinced that the Hindle is the one I want. The price is a bit steep and I am still looking for a source that will discount it somewhat. Good luck with your new mod and please keep us posted on your observations re power, gas mileage etc....

Ive noticed that alot of people are starting to switch out the exhaust on the SPYDER.. is it because it looks cooler and sounds better or is anyone getting some significant gains from the swap.

Im new to the SPYDER so im not sure how a modification to the exhaust or adding a intake or airfilter will change the spyder.

But when i work on my cars, i often find a common mistake is that sometimes swapping the exhaust soley because it looks or sounds better than stock results in a loss in HP!! :( or having the car run to Lean or Rich!! :(

Just curious to see how the SPYDER is responding to all these modifications??

In our case, it was a combination of looking better and giving the bike a finished look and a cooler sound. Also, some added HP and possibly a few more mpg, will know in another tank or two.
