Food runs are the greatest! Years past my wife and I would farm out the kids for a day. Leave home in central NY about 6:30am make the 3 hr. trip to Benninton VT. On the Goldwing For breakfast. Go across the state on the Molly Stark trail (rt.9) to I91 south to the Mohawk trail (rt. 2 w) to rt. 7 south to Great Barrington MA., catch rt. 23 w. To home. For lunch we would try and find one of them little diners, you know the ones with about 8 or 10 tables. They always had the best down home cooking. For supper sometimes we would stop at Brooks barbecue in Oneonta NY. It was a great ride especially in the fall, we would stop here and there, any place we found interesting.
that used to be one of our favorite things to do, is cruise the back roads of New England and look for those little diners. That and poker runs.
