• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Two Brothers

Don in E Texas

New member
No, not the exhaust brothers. This is a tale of two brothers from Texas. It all began when Bob (the younger one, he likes it when I say that) happened to spot a weird looking machine in the Houston area - he followed it long enough to see the Can Am logo on the side. He informed me of his observation -- after my research my wife, Pat, and I visited our local (Longview, TX) Can Am dealer. After a test ride of the SM5, I did not care for the transmission and was ready to go home. The sales rep said "try the SE5". After a brief test ride: SOLD. We had just purchased a 2008, Red, Spyder. Now go up a few years - to last year in March. While visiting Bob, it was suggested by him to pay a visit to his local Can Am dealer - in Conroe. Long story short; he purchased a 2012 RT Lava Bronze Limited Edition! That was on his birthday, March 19th. Now go to this past March 19th when I located a 2010 RT-S for sale and purchased it on his birthday, March 19, 2013! I kept it a secret from him until I rode down for a visit a couple of weeks ago. Imagine his surprise when I pulled into his driveway. A brief description of my RT: had just over 2,000 miles on it when I purchased it - has Seal floorboards (gosh, I love them!!) - custom Corbin seat that is made from Alligator hide (after all, it was purchased originally by a gentleman in LA!). I've added some wood looking trim to the dash area (Burl). I am going to attempt to add some photos here - hope that it works.100_3840.jpg100_3841.jpg100_3842.jpg
