• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

two brothers single or double muffler

when you add the p1 power tip, does it change the pitch or tone of muffler besides reducing sound? lower or higher?

I did the P1X tips in the duals and it mostly just makes it quieter. I really like how easily the tips can be swapped in and out, when I go to bike nights I can run without the tips and then swap them back in when I get home.

thank you.
i wanna get the single but i heard a spyder with a dual that sounded a lot deeper like ferrari exhaust than others without the harley-like rumble but fail to check which one had baffle in which one didn't.

Without the tips the exhaust is too loud, but it does sound bad ass. It would require ear plugs for sure, and I was also setting off car alarms. The tips make it just right.

I have the single and love the sound. I did just order a p1x tip and should have it in a few days. I got it to quiet it down a bit. It's not super loud now but I dont want to piss off my new neighborhood at 7am going to work. :yikes: I'll let you know what it sounds like after the tip is on and how it changes the sound. I also have access to a db reader and I am going to take a read of db before and after

BTW............without the tip its still quieter than my buddies harelys

it seems everybody using p1x tip instead of p1. p1 would be somewhere between no tip and p1x.
i sent an email to the girl who had that two bro with really low, deep sound and see if she had any tips on them or done something special to them.
it sure did sound different than other two bro duals i heard.

i got the confirmation from the girl who had the two bro duals. no tips.
she said she recently tried the tip and it sounded like "tin-like" and i think i know what she means and thats the sound i do not want.
by the way, it was those carbon fiber singles that had tendency to blow up right, and not the aluminum?

my freinds has dual with tips and does not sound tin like at all. very deep growl

I have the single can TwoBros w/ the tip on it - P1 something. It quieted it down a little bit (not much) but most of all it took the "high pitch tinniness" away. Sort of lowered the pitch if I'm making any sense at all.:2thumbs:

I'll go out today when it warms up a bit a record it for you with and without the P1X tips.

A note on the Aluminum. It scratches mind numbingly easily. I'm kind of second guessing the choice, but it does look great. I had a girl on back the other day and her heals (high heals are proper riding gear, right?) really scratched up the top of the pipe :(

I does sound better without the tips, but you can't ride without ear plugs, even with a full face helmet. My ears were ringing and actually hurt after only a 20 mile ride.

Ouch! Perhaps the tips are a good idea after all then. :D I am not sure the volume level on my MP3 player with my EarFuze headphones could even drown that out, and then what happens to my hearing in the meantime? I already have the Hindle, so I will probably just stick with it.

Yes my ears would ring when I got home from a day's ride w/out the tip. With the tip I have no more ear ringing and that is when I wore the shorty too. Or maybe I've already done damage and am deaf from bikes with previous straight pipes.

her spyder does not sound like neither.
it's really really low, deep sound like exhaust note on ferrarri. :dontknow:

My ears must be fried (and probably are, my wife says I cant hear !$%@) I can easliy ride all day without the tip and not have any ringing or annoyance with a full face helmet.

got the P1X finally on the single and its amazingly quieter. Took way the high end bite and still has a low rumble. Very different - I didnt know 7-9 dbs would make such a difference.:yikes: I havent put the db reader on it yet but will.

definately knocks it down allot. I think I might try the P1

I would really like to hear the P1 tips on mine but not willing to spend $60 just to try it.
