• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Twas The Night Before Christmas...

Hi Guys!
Patti and I have been working on this for a couple of days...
I sent her a VERY rough version, and she really turned it around!
We hope that you like it.

Twas the night before Christmas
And all over Town,
Not one SpyderLover
Was settling down.

Lamont in his Garage...
Spun wrenches in hand.
While Joe was out 'Cruzing",
Yelling, "Strike up the band!"

Mike figured out how
To make something cheaper.
While many other owners
Turned their bikes into "sleepers".

Karyl had her maps out,
Planning trips full of fun.
While Dwayne; way up North
Could just dream of the Sun.

Folks worked on their lists
Of farkles so fine!
I also had dreams
Of what might soon be mine.

I heard a deep rumble
From out of the night.
I ran to my garage,
And beheld such a sight.

Some Spyders rollled up
(F3 Limiteds; in red...)
Santa stepped off,
And he calmly said:

You're not on my List
But you've tried to be good.
So I've brought some elves
And they're in the mood...

To decorate your bike...
With many new toys
That I'll soon deliver
To the good Girls and Boys.

On Harvey! On Reggy...
Ron, and Lamont too!
It's time to get busy
And do what you do!

Make his bike brighter.
Give it lights and more chrome.
Make it more comfy
So when he roams far from home,

He will always feel strong
And ready to ride
Even many more miles...
With his friends by his side.

They got right to work.
The wrenches, they flew!
My Spyder looked great,
And when they were through,

Santa said "C'mon guys...
We're not through spreading fun!
There's lots more folks waiting...
Our work is not done!"

"Let's get these bikes rolling.
We've got places to be...
So pack up your tools
And grab those cookies."

My bike never looked better,
As they rode out of sight
"We'll see you at SpyderFest!
Now, have a GREAT night!
Bob who is waiting for the " dark spell to end.
While others here in the North East waiting for spring to arrive,
So they can put miles on there spyders.! Deanna

T'was the eve of The Solstice

If anybody has a verse or two that they'd like to add to it: please feel free to do so!
Let's see where it all ends up!

If we end up with enough verses; it might even start to rival "100 bottles of beer on the wall", as the "go-to" song, for killing time . :D

Okay, you guys got my creative juices flowing, for whatever they're worth! Here's my contribution:
Wendy (ruralgirl) :D

T'was the eve of The Solstice,
And deep in her den,
Lay a slumbering Spyder,
Since November ten.

As each night grew longer,
And more snowdrifts swirled,
Nightmares of darkness,
Inside her head twirled.

Would there be sunlight,
Ever again?
Would snow turn to green grass,
And, if so, when?

As her turmoil progressed,
Her shocks quivered in fear,
And the gas in her tank,
Sloshed so loud you could hear.

Then she woke as a moonbeam,
Glanced off of her frunk,
And startled the cat,
Who fell off with a thunk.

"Back to sleep," she thought sadly,
But, wait! Could it be?
There's a smidgeon of dawn,
At just quarter past three.

A minute tonight,
Two minutes tomorrow,
Days WERE getting longer,
No reason for sorrow!

"My mistress and I WILL ride again!"
She cooed to herself in her cozy warm den,
And she fell back to sleep with a smile on her grill,
Knowing now Spring would come .... It's just over the hill!
