Great Videos!

I think those may be the best Spyder videos I have seen yet, Shawn. :2thumbs:

Thanks for posting them.

I really enjoyed the videos thanks for posting them, Makes me wish that show was on here. Of course they should rename it three wheels to anywhere. I think they did a good job of catching some of the spirit of the Spyder.:2thumbs::clap:

Wow, fantastic videos! Thanks for posting them. Is this a broadcast tv program or You Tube only?

I'll definately be looking for it!

Hi Spyder-Man771 - The show was made for broadcast, I will let you know when we get any word about that and air dates and times etc ~ thanks again, we really enjoyed making the episode!

Nice!

They mentioned my favorite thing about the Spyder - how you have time to experience the world around you. A whole new dimension of riding for me.

The only thing that they missed ( or I wish they had shown ) were the riders who travel with their wheelchairs or crutches.

Hi Tom - I wish we had known about the disabled folks who ride the Spyder or had a chance to interview some of them. It would have really demonstrated the all encompassing group that is made up by it's riders. It struck me that I don't know of many other motorcycle groups that have such strong bonds and passionate sense of community that can-am and it's riders have.

I have put together some raw footage we took on the Spyder ride, including the full uncut interviews of the Spyder owners and lots of road footage. It's about an hour long, it's uncut and raw so really not meant for general distribution but I have no problem sending a DVD out to any of the Spyder owners that joined us on the ride, it might make a nice memento for some of you.

the sum is greater than the parts

Yes, the Spyder seems to redefine that "Third wheel" cliché - where the third is a burden and restrictive. We seem to have all the usual member types, except for the motorcycle outlaw gang . . . . . maybe. Plus, we have all the people who would not or cannot ride two wheels. Spyderlovers has a forum for one of those groups, http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=128 - some great riders there.

As you learned, a Spyder ride is different, a kick. I had to smile, in your sections after the rides, you seemed to have a little more adrenaline pumping through you than you usually show. I know the feeling - often. It makes you want to say; "You gotta try this!"

I am glad you guys got your chance. Come back when you can.

Tom

Thanks Tom - I have been thinking about this and the nice thing about the Spyder apart from it's manic ride, is how unusual it is and the reaction it gets everywhere it goes. So in a way it would almost be a shame to see them everywhere because it could take away some of the "special" uniqueness they have. On the other hand is it not selfish to keep such a secret to oneself :)

Now, the real question is, How do I talk my wife into getting another vehicle :) Winter riding is tough although we tough it out down to about 20F with Gerbings heated gear but not me with sand or ice - the Spyder would give us a much more expanded riding season. Pete on the other hand is a madman and will ride in virtually any conditions :)

Thanks for posting these videos. I had a lot of fun on that day and was glad to be a part of the group ride to Lake Placid. Everyone that I met at this event were nice people. I hope that I will be able to join in more of these rides in the future.

Hey Vtrider,

As you were part of the group ride I can mail out the DVD with about an additional hour of uncut video if you like - just shoot an email to [email protected] I already have a few spyder riders from that day that I am mailing out discs to, no charge - just our thanks for letting us film you guys.
